I had 2 dogs who loved the Smokehouse Chicken Treats and ate at least 3 chicken treats every day since June 2007. I only have one dog now. Like Sandra in Fort Worth, my dogs had diahrrea, were vomiting, lethargic and not eating. One dog died on Aug 24 and the other is still fighting for her life. I have been to 4 vets and 2 animal hospitals and spent over $10,000.00 The dog that died was only 1-1/2 years old. I called Smoke House and emailed them right away to let them know there was a problem and they wrote back stating there were no other complaints and that their products were tested twice in the U.S. So much for their testing!!
Sandra and Tina,
I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. I am so upset these pet food companies will not recognize they are killing our pets.
Susan
Sandra and Tina, you are unfortunately not alone. The people at Smoke House, especially Lisa Kahn are simply evil people. If you did a search several differenw ways you will find that she told each and every person that called to complain of their dog sick and or dying that she never had a complaint from anyone else. I am one of those people myself.
Why are they allowed to get away with this???????? Why is the FDA afraid to come forward????
Sandra and Tina, please search my story. I am the proud owner of Bella the four pound Yorkie. Please google it. You will find many links to my Bella. She has been called the poster child of this horrible chicken jerky poison from SmokeHouse and Pet Smart. Without trying I have a small army of volunteers across the US. Please, join us because I am bound and determined to hold both companies responsible.
SmokeHouse is actaully seeking a "gag order" against me. Doesn't that tell you they have even more to hide????

While my dog luckily shows no outward signs of a problem can anyone give me any info at all about, Smokehouse Lammy Munchies? Good or bad? Thanks, John
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet can be devestating. I only feed all natural dog treats from www.bestbullysticks.com to my dog. Even the top name brands seem to be questionable these days.

I had 3 dogs who loved the Smokehouse Chicken Treats. We now have 2. They began vomiting, being lethargic and not eating or drinking on July 8th. I contacted Smokehouse because I had just gotten a new shipment of these treats on July 6th and my dogs began getting sick within 24 hours of eating them. After 3 vets, 2 animal hospitals and $6000.00 my Australian Shepherds are well, but our 16 yr old Doberman passed away. My pets were ill non- stop for 10 days until we finally got the help we needed from the Dallas Diagnostic Clinic and Dr. Kelly Nitsche. Just wanted to share my story and hope that Smokehouse Pet Products recognizes that the pet loving community cannot stand for this kind of treatment. I contacted them early on to let them know there was a problem and they wrote back stating there were no other complaints-- well, now there are.
Sincerely- Sandra, Fort Worth, TX
