Sleep apnea is considered the most dire problems of snoring and is considered a potentially life threatening condition. Sleep apnea is caused because of lack of oxygen during sleep and it may lead to a slight brain damage, causing problems for the person throughout the day. If left untreated, sleep apnea can cause high blood pressure, impotency, problems related to memory, weight gain, cardiovascular diseases, weight gain, feeling sleepy at undesirable times, which may lead to accidents and other fatal consequences.
Sleep apnea is more common among obese person. The excessive fat of the obese increase pressure on the air passage path and deprives a person of his/her sleep. It is advisable for the obese to consult their doctor, speak to them about the problem at the earliest, and do a test for sleep apnea.
Treatment for Problems With Snoring
Clear Nasal Passage: It is recommended to clean the nose regularly, especially before going to bed. Stuffy nose makes air inhalation difficult and in turn leads to snoring. People can use anti snore pillow or nasal strips, which are easily available in the market to clean their nose.
Snoring problems, though cause many hardships, with timely treatment and
care, one can do away with this problem and could have a good sound sleep. For patients who have no relief with other treatments, or with an underlying condition, snoring surgery may be the only option.
