Social Responsibility and Network Marketing Companies

Social Responsibility or in this case ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ has become an important factor for many entrepreneurs when considering a MLM company to join

Entrepreneurs like MLM ‘ers and Network marketers are often driven by more than the big dollar. What they want to know is that what they are offering to their friends and families aren’t just a business opportunity or great products, but that their company in fact, makes a difference in the world.

This is what drives loyalty and commitment for many. Global awareness has made many networkers take notice of what their company is doing.

In the past, as in today as well, there are companies who are only focused on money and not making a difference to the lives of the people they service. Network marketing distributors are savvy people and don’t want their success to be at the cost of others, the environment, or even other cultures.

Take the coffee industry for example. Although this isn’t a network marketing example, its worth noting. Awareness of the plight of plantation owners and workers in coffee producing countries has risen. The world is now more aware that it is the big coffee companies that are making all the money and the workers and plantation owners are being taken advantage of with poor return on their time and efforts. The big companies were paying these people disproportionately.

Now, there is something called ‘FAIRTRADE” coffee which-“Guarantees a better deal for Third World Producers.” Now, there are many people, like myself who will only buy FAIRTRADE coffee for my use at home and wherever possible in cafes or restaurants.

Network Marketers Want to Know That Their Company and Products or Service Make A Difference

Network marketers want to know that the products they promote make a difference to the health (in many cases) to the people they service and they want their network marketing company to have a social conscience as well. They don’t want other people or countries exploited at the expense of profit.

Anyone who is considering joining a network marketing business should have a look at any awards and recognitions the company has for the philanthropic efforts or other ways they make contributions to the environment or its people.

The most successful network marketing companies in fact, have a commitment to producing products or services that not only are unique and consumable, but actually serve humanity. You should look at the mission statement of any company you want to join to see where their heart is.

This is an example of just one company with a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. There are certainly others and as discerning entrepreneurs, it is one more factor to consider when joining a network marketing company.

The internet has blown the lid off the network marketing industry. I truly believe that MLMers have always wanted to make a difference with their products and their opportunities. And now, the internet and attraction marketing allows us to shop around for companies with exactly the right mix of product, opportunity and strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. What a great time to be in the network marketing industry!

I agree that health is the way to go with Network Marketing. What better than to improve health and change lives while working for a living. I encourage everyone to find a company that makes a difference for you and me, and go for it.
