About a year or so ago I got an account on 'delicious' http://del.icio.us/

It is one of those sites you can add your websites to in the hopes of steering traffic in your direction.

And I noticed I had screwed up bunches of my tags. And a badly formed tag basically defeats the purpose of listing yourself on http://del.icio.us/. The error I made was seperating each tag with a comma. Many sites allow you to form tags that way, but delicious isn't one of them. They prefer a space between each word. So instead of me having a tagline with different tags that reads 'art crafts knitting sewing patterns diy' I'd have one giant tag that said art,crafts,knitting,sewing,patterns,diy in one long string. I'm sure the faulty tags affected my google adsense earnings as well.

So I just took the better part of an hour renaming and replacing all the bad tags. You do that by going to your http://del.icio.us/ account, clicking on favorites, scrolling down to the bottom of your tags, and clicking on 'rename tags'. If my theory is correct, my google adsense earnings should jump now that all my tags are now correct. Or if you are new to delicious, you'll do it right in the first place and only use spaces, not commas, right?
