Sock Hub

We all know what socks are and I'm sure we have all had problems trying to keep those pesky little pairs together and for me, at least, the one thing that I hate most, is when I get a hole in my socks. I hate putting my foot into a sock only to find out that my big toe is sticking out. Ewwww, I hate that feeling.

Did you know there are lots of different brands of socks?

Wigwam Socks - Wigwam socks are a very high quality sock company. Wigwam makes sport socks, health socks, snowsport socks and work socks. Wigwam socks are very well-made and are made in America.

Thorlo Socks - Thorlo socks are also a brand name for socks. They specialize in running socks, tennis socks, walking socks, hiking socks, basketball socks, everyday comfort socks, ski socks, western socks and dress socks. Thorlo socks come in many different colours and styles.

Gold Toe Socks - Gold Toe Socks are another brand name for socks. Gold Toe Socks sell dress socks, casual socks and atlethic socks. They have socks for every member of the family.

There are also several different types of socks.

Argyle socks - Argyle socks are a casual sock. The name arglye brings to mind the diamond shape of the sock. Argyle socks are multi-colored and usually sit just below the knee.

Cashmere socks - Cashmere socks would be the softest sock around. Cashmere is the softest yarn there is, so a cashmere sock would be so soft. I can just feel softness of a cashmere sock on my feet.

Cotton Socks - Cotton socks are obviously made from cotton. Cotton socks would be so much healthier for your feet than socks that are made from polyester and other plastic material. Cotton socks would allow your feet to breath easy.

Toe Socks - Okay, so I'm taking you back in time now, back to the 1970's, a time when toe socks were all the rage. Brightly coloured socks with each toe knitted separately like fingers on a glove. I actually hated the feel of toe socks. I hated the feeling of each toe being fit separately in the sock. It was very uncomfortable.

All of those socks sounds good! I can probably get my parents a couple pair of wigwam socks before they go visit my grandparents in Minnesota. But I sure do love them toe socks in the winter with a pair of cotton socks over it for more protection. What?! I can't help it if I have such a low-blood pressure.

Kushal Poddar, I didn't know so many things about socks either til I wrote this hub. k@ri have fun with all the socks, mayhong, that is a good idea wearing cotton socks over the toe socks but that still doesn't help me because I would still hate to have the toes open like gloves.

Great Hub,

So many socks so few feet. You wouldn't believe how many different types and styles of walking socks there are: Liners, shells, wicking, blends, padded, reinforced, seamless it goes on an on. It's a full time job just keeping tack of it all.

Walking Equipment, thank you for your comment. I had almost forgotten that I had written this hub. I do remember though, that it was a lot of fun to write.
