Solution for a Declining Economy
54What can You do?
I don't know about you, but a lay off from a job is a real possibility to someone close to me. In fact, if it happens, it will directly affect me.
Yesterday at work, my husband received notice of lay off coming next week. There were no names mentioned, but any one of them is a possibility, including my husband. The workers add up to about 10 guys and they need to let 1/2 of them go.
This is something many of us are facing or have already faced. Our economy is in trouble and the impact is being felt in many families all across our country. Now, it is hitting close to home and I'm nervous.
I'm happy to report that I do have a back up plan in place.
I am a distributor for a network marketing company and as such, I have a plan in place to help see us through a tough economic situation.
Have you ever looked into network marketing? It's an opportunity to start your very own business, right at home. You work hard for a few years and get a income plan in place that pays you for years to come.
Unlike a job, you leverage what you do among many people and earn profits from it all.
You know how you can earn air miles from some credit cards? Well, with a network marketing company, not only do you earn commission points from the work you do, you earn from every person who is working in your group. It's like earning air miles from yourself AND from everyone else who uses their credit card who is in your family. Same idea.
It's about finding people who are willing to start their own business, do their small part and everyone benefits. This business is about leverage. The idea of many people contributing 1% effort versus myself doing 100% of all the work.
If the concept of leveraging yourself and finding a home based business that is a good fit for you makes sense and would possibly prevent financial problems for you, contact me. I would love to show you what I have found with network marketing. A business like no other.
Call my toll free voice mail number and I will call you back. 1-800-363-4918 Tell me your name, number, best time to call and the reason you are calling.
I look forward to showing you a back up plan for your financial future.
More Details
If you have never looked into the network marketing business, it may be difficult to understand. Let me see if I can make it any clearer. Sometimes it's easier to see it than to just read it, but here goes.
We all have 24 hours in a day, right? We all have responsibilities, we all eat, drink, shower, etc. We all do certain things everyday. So, what separates the person making 10k a year from the person making a million? Leverage.
You work for XYZ company and you go there faithfully everyday. You make a hourly wage with sick time and vacation time. What would you need to do in order to make more money? Work more hours? Get another job? Right, one of those.
So, how does the person making a million a year do it? Lets say, Joe Schmoe is the owner of a large chain of department stores. He has many people working for him. From the lawyers to the employees and everyone in between. Do you see something here? He has found a way to have people work for him, thus leveraging his time. He still has 24 hours in a day, but he spreads his responsibilities out to many people. These people are making him money as well as sharing his responsibilities. Leverage.
Now, take the average guy/gal. They too have 24 hours in a day, however, they are possibly one of the many people working for Joe Schmoe. They get paid a certain rate, but what options do they have to climb the corporate ladder? Oh, it can be done with hard work, a ton of ambition and stepping on a few people along the way. But, if this is what you want, it can be done. Or, you can just continue working for Joe Schmoe, helping make him rich. All the while, he may be out playing golf somewhere. You are working to make him rich. What are you getting out of it? A pay check, period. No financial security, no getting to play golf and still get paid. You get my point.
The only way to have money coming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is to find a system that creates residual income. This means that no matter what you are doing or not doing, you have money coming to you, 24/7.
Now, I don't know about you, but I am not able to buy a big chain of stores. Heck, I can't even buy a small chain, or for that matter any store at all. I don't have a way of having people do my work for me, while a play golf, (or whatever). I can not make more money unless I work more hours. That of course means less time with my family, less time for myself. I would be giving it all to my job.
What can someone like me, miss average, do to get to a place where I have residual income, can leverage my time and make more money, all while not giving up my current job?
As mentioned above, network marketing has been the answer for me. Could it work for you? Possibly. Are you open to looking into something else? Do you consider yourself open minded? If you don't look, do you think your current situation will be any different 5 years from now?
While it doesn't cost anything to look, it may cost a lot if you never do. Do your research, check out several companies and find one that offers something that you would be willing to tell others about. Find one that excites you. Find one with great team work.
Contact Michelle if you want to look at a couple of network marketing business that I offer. It doesn't cost to look.

Michelle,
Thank you for sharing and I do hope that your husband is not one that is let go. But as you said you have a plan already in place and working. You are very fortunate to be in that situation. So many are not even looking beyond and preparing for what may come. I think even without the economy dumping, so many could be and should be taking advantage of network marketing and learning all they can before they find themselves in trouble. Having income coming in at any level is better than none at all.
Great things to you and your family.
Angela James
Thanks so much for all your kind words. So far, so good. Three got layed off Monday and that makes 4. So far that's it. No more expected for now. Keeping our fingers crossed!!

I understand the situation your going through after talking to someone who's position (not just his job) was being eliminate altogether.
He seemed pretty content with the fact that he ALWAYS get's the short end of the stick so he was a little nonchalent about it with the convesatio nleading something like "I worked at xxx company for 14 years, they let me go...turned around and got this job now there letting me go...seems to always happen to me..."
This guy got his PHd in strategic "something" (forgot the name) and never landed a job remotely close to what he spent almost 10 years studying in college...so I suggested since thats what he went to school for, why not do that...
He came up with all kinds of excuses.
And then I mention he go for busienss, he's an intelligent guy, I can definitly see him in the millionaire status...
He whipped out the old "Well, 97% of all business owners fail in their first 5 years...". I nodded my head, and knew that nothing I could do would be able to help this guy see his true potential beyond working for a pencil whipped paycheck.
I wished him the best
That'a all you can do. It's too bad when you can see their potential but they can't see it themselves.
Thanks for commenting.

What you say is oh so true. Layoffs are going to happen and have already happened but most people don't have a Plan B. What makes this especially bad is the people getting laid off are joining numerous others who have been laid off and the economy is bad all around. I am glad that there are people like you providing a lifeline to people that are now facing the harsh reality of job lost. Thanks for your article.
Cheers! C Doug Mah
