Some Christian Sexual Ethics
65Marriage, Pornography, Sex Change, Homosexuality, Prostitution
Christianity is much different from secular and liberal perspectives, and Christianity is much stricter on the limits it places on sexual activity. Christianity teaches that sex is a gift from God - a privilege - that should be used only between one man and one woman who are married. God has blessed us with this gift, and He does not want use to misuse or abuse it. In Genesis 2:24, God says that man will leave his parents and be united with a woman and they will become one flesh. This tells of marriage and how sex should be used only within the bonds of marriage.
Moreover, Christianity strongly disagrees with pornography. Philippians 4:8-9 says to think about only what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. After these verses, Paul also goes on to say that we should put into practice what we have seen in Jesus. These verses give us a very clear explanation of what God expects of us in our lives, and pornography does not match up with these verses encourage or God’s standards. Furthermore, as Christians we should strongly disagree with sex changes. In Deuteronomy 22:5, the Bible says that God detests anyone man who wears women’s clothing or any woman who wears man’s clothing. From this verse we can infer that God would also hate it if a male or female got a sex change. Also, Christianity defines marriage pretty clearly. God’s Word tells us that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and they become as one flesh (Matt. 19:4-6). His Word also teaches not to marry unbelievers, and not to divorce and remarry unless as a result of unfaithfulness in the marriage. Christianity also says that sex is good within marriage, but bad outside of it. Next, the Bible speaks out against homosexuality. It says that homosexuality is wrong and should not be tolerated. Leviticus 18:22 commands not to lay with the same sex and calls that action detestable. Lastly, Christians are repeatedly warned about adulteresses and prostitution. Proverbs speaks about it much and says not to lust after an immoral woman’s beauty or sleep with another man’s wife. Additionally, in Proverbs 7:22-23 describes a man going with a prostitute and says, “All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life.” Christianity is definitely against prostitution, and as Christians, we should stay as far from it as we can.

A great hub with some nuggets of truth that show wisdom in the Scriptures. Keep writing, I'll keep reading. Stick to Scritures without fear and you'll be ok.
Thank you both for your opinions and the comments! Thanks for the encouragement no body!
Good information. You are wise.
thanks
I like your article a lot it. We in California have to vote on the same sex marriage. The proposition which would have made same sex marriage legal was defeated and what you said in your article is why me and other Christians voted against the same sex marriage law.
Thanks mystixsprings!
Very good scriptural reminders to the world, whether saved or unsaved. God is our Creator and is the ruler of all things. Praise God everyone who has indeed practiced any of these things can indeed now repent and have it completely forgotten by our Judge! His grace is greater than ALL our sin combined! I love my Lord and thank Him for His great forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Thanks. Meaningful words Carrie.
Thanks jacobt2 We all need to be reminded about the will of God and you have done a wonderful job of stating the facts concerning God's Word concerning the morals that God expects from us all. Praise the Lord for your Hub God Bless You!
Thank you so much justcallmeleroy
Hey mystixsprings,
I think you need to understand that not everyone is religious and by voting against same sex marriages you are destroying lives. Isn't Christianity supposed to be about love? Looks like all you are doing is hating.

Well to a certain extent some of these guidelines may help us to learn and live by the book. But some things which encourage homophobic thinking seem regressive and need to be overlooked. Just my two cents.
