Some Jobs That Require No Experience

(On a not so serious note :) )

God created a simple world, and then man complicated it by asking for experience...

1) Being in a body, Coming into in existence in this world- I mean, who teaches you to breathe the moment you are born? To bawl when you are hungry or uncomfortable? To laugh when you are happy or pleased? And many other such things we do on earth. Do you remember what it was like in the womb? Can you teach anybody how to survive in the womb?

2) Mother -This is a full time, life time job. There is no retitrement, no security and once you are hired, you can't get fired. There are no schools or colleges that train you on becoming a successful parent, especially a MOTHER. No matter how many of those lameze classes or whatever other training programs you attend to prepare for easy birth, giving birth is the easiest part, NOTHING prepares you for motherhood until the baby arrives in your life. There is no pre-qualification that nature demands-not even marriage! All you need is a " just a go with the flow- take it as it comes" attitude. You will learn on the job. You will learn how to feed, clean, bathe the baby, you will learn how to identify diffent sounds and what they mean, you will develop eyes at the back of your head, you will learn to work crazy hours at no pay. You will develop patience, you will become an expert lie-detector each time you need to find out "who took the cookies from the cookie jar?" and other such situations. It is a very interesting profile with duties that change as the child grows. You will never ever have time to say- "this is so dull and boring!" And it's a fresh new experience everytime.

3) Father - I guess it is almost the same as Mother- with a few differences.

4) Being promoted to the next stage - Making transitions in the life-cycle- learning new skills at every stage, from being a baby to a toddler, from being a pre-schooler to a puberscent boy/girl, from a teen-ager to an adult, so on and so forth. (and for women- another tough transition is menopause, you may read books on the topic etc BUT you have no experience till you make the transition yourself and it only happens once!)

5) Marriage - do married women make better wives? Or do married men make better husbands?

6) Being natural, being yourself - this is sometimes just so tough to do. We are so used to putting on appearances for the world, we sometimes forget who we are.

I will end this article with these profound words written by Marianne Williamson-

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually who are we not to be? You are the child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
