I feel there are certain things you can do to help propel you forward in achieving your life's desires. None of them are particularly earth shattering. You have probably heard of all of them. But do you use them? Listed below are some things that have helped me over the years:

  • 1) Surround yourself with positive people - People with a negative attitude suck right out of you the energy and drive you have to succeed. People with positive attitudes inspire you and add enthusiasm and joy into your life. Talking with a positive person makes you feel better about yourself and gives you the confidence to have a successful day.
  • 2) Meditate, get in touch with the power within you - I feel that each of us has an eternal power within. What you want to call this Power is up to you - God, the universe, your intuition, etc. Sit in a quiet place, meditate, and enter into a feeling of total peace. Get in touch with this power. Put a question out there that you need answered. Don't try to consciously answer the question. Instead let the inner power give you the answers. This power has provided me direction in all areas of my business, helped me make decisions, helped me with relationships, and helped me solve difficult problems.

The relationship with this Power won't necessarily happen immediately. But I promise that if you practice this on a consistent basis, amazing things can happen. At the very least, you will achieve a sense of peace that will allow you to approach your day in a positive, confident manner.

  • 3) Listen to the right things on your car radio - My friends kid me that the inside of my car looks like a mobile library. They're probably right. I never listen to the radio but only to instructional, motivational CDs. It's a great learning experience. Just think about how much more you can learn about a subject over the period of a year if you spend your commute listening to CDs - CDs presented by experts in an area you are trying to master..
  • 4) Be careful what you watch on television - This is totally up to you, but I try to avoid watching the news if at all possible. In the past, I could just never watch the news without being completely demoralized. I would rather read a book where I learn about marketing my business or improving myself personally than watch most of the shows on television.
  • 5) Learn from people who are successful and are experts in the field you are interested in - Go to seminars. Don't hang around with unsuccessful people. Instead learn from the people who have already achieved the success you are seeking.
  • 6) Say affirmations and visualize - This one exercise has been a tremendous help in my life. I'll get more into this at a later date. I have said affirmations for many years. As far as visualization, I heard from many people over the years how visualizing had helped change their lives. I tried it occasionally but never applied it on a consistent basis.

Now, I try to visualize every day. The best time is when you first wake up in the morning or just before you go to sleep at night. This is when your subconscious mind is most receptive to your thoughts.

Visualize how you want things to be - your job, your business, a relationship, a sport, a meeting, etc. Don't worry about "how" you will achieve what you want. Concentrate on what you want specifically. Just get into a peaceful place. Visualize in as much detail as possible. Use all of your senses if possible - sight, hearing, touch, smell, etc. The most important thing is to experience how you will feel when you achieve what you are visualizing. Feeling the emotion is absolutely necessary in having success with this program.

What Kinds of Results Have I Gotten Through Visualization?

The results have been amazing for me. For example, some important things in my life seemed impossible to attain at first. After visualizing for a period of time, I started feeling more and more confident that I could achieve my objective. I then started automatically attracting into my life those things I needed to succeed.

I only want my attraction network marketing training business to attract only those people I can help be successful. So I visualize myself talking with good, family type people and see myself helping them.

It works. That is generally the type of person that comes to me. I always seem to be able to help them.

Try This Experiment

I have tried an experiment in the past that maybe you could try. This was back when I was working at a regular job. I had the habit of focusing too much on my job as I was walking through the halls of my office building. I was so engrossed in what I was thinking, that I am sure I had a scowl on my face. As people passed me by, they hardly ever spoke.

So I decided to make a change. Before I would go into the halls, I would think of myself as a very successful, confident, and wealthy person. I would think of myself as someone who was very open to sharing my success with others. The change was significant. People would pass by, smile, and speak to me. Sometimes they would strike up a conversation. I seemed to be attracting people to me. You ought to try it.
