Solar, Wind, and Water energy

With the world facing a world power crisis, it is becoming more important to try to conserve our non-renewable sources by reducing our dependency on them. We can reduce our dependancy on them by using renewable energy solutions such as, solar solutions at home to replace the non-renewable energy sources we use to produce electricity. Renewable energy solution refers to those renewable energy sources that we can use to produce power while reducing the amount of our natural resource which are limited. There are three types of renewable energy sources: solar energy, wind energy, and hydro (water) energies all of which are viable solution to our ever depleting non-renewable energy sources although there are some draw backs to using hydro or water energy.

Solar Power: The sun has always been a source of heat and light and is the most abundant energy source on the planet. Everyone can take advantage of this free source of power just by using solar power solutions at home mainly solar panels and solar cells to store electricity. When using solar power at home you can reduce your power bill and you will be helping the environment because solar power does not pollute or exhaust our natural resources. Some of the solar power solutions at home consist of solar stoves, solar heating systems, solar hot water tanks, solar lighting systems, solar dryers, and . . . well you get the idea we can do a lot with the sun’s energy.

Besides being environmentally friendly and saving you money on those power bill solar power solutions at home is also cost effective. In a short time these systems will pay for themselves, they are low maintenance so they save time, money, and effort to maintain. Some also believe cooking with solar power is much more health for you than the conventional means of cooking.

Wind Power: The wind has been used to do a lot of work way back before Christ was even born. Windmills were used to tow boats, pump water, and even to turn large mills that crushed wheat to make flour. Then during the industrialization period wind mills were put to use to produce electrical power. When using wind power solutions at home combined with solar power solutions at home, you can generate enough power to free yourself from the power companies and their constantly increasing costs. The wind is one more of those excellent renewable energy sources that can help us reduce our dependency on our non-renewable sources of energy and help the environment at the same time.

Hydro Power: Water is one more source of renewable energy that is very abundant on our planet. Hydro power accounts for 90 percent of the renewable energy sources that we use today to create energy. Dams Are built to create larger bodies of water which can then be diverted to flow through water turbines which turn massive electric generators which produce the electricity that we use day in and day out. Although water is an excellent renewable energy source there are problems associated with using water when we build dams. Blocking the flow of rivers negatively affects the ecosystem downstream.

With the unlimited amount of sun light and wind we should be able to reduce our dependency on non-renewable energy sources just by using solar power solutions at home and, if we live in a climate and region with good air flow (around 11mph or higher) with wind power solutions at home.
