There are many states that now offer online curriculum for home schooled children. This is great news for people who want to home school but didn’t feel that they could afford it or have the skills necessary to do it.

These classes are done by the state and some states will even give you a loaner computer and the materials that they will need for subjects like science. All that you may have to buy and purchase would be notepads and writing utensils.  These are all available to you tuition free.

If you student is struggling with the regular classrooms then you may want to see if your state is one of the states that you can have them do the online tuition free classes. The students can go at their own paces and take as much time as they need to comprehend a certain task. Some students will sail right through these courses and then some will struggle with some parts of the classes. The online classes will help both of these types of students with homeschooling these lessons.

To be successful homeschooling with the online classes your student or you will have to be motivated to make sure that they do their studies each and every day. This is harder than it sounds. Since you can take the lessons any time of the day or night the students will have to be motivated to do the work.

Most of these classes right now are for high school students. There are some states that offer it for elementary school students but they aren’t that many right now, but they are always adding more each school year.

The nice thing is that more and more states are adding online high school classes tuition-free each year giving your students and your children more options in their educational journey.
