Are there women out there that can be pregnant for nine months, and not know they're pregnant. This seem to be a mystery to me and debatable, but the medical channel tells of these women that gave birth to full term babies,without knowing they were pregnant; these women seem clueless about being pregnant.
It seems almost impossible to me to carry a full term baby around, with you nine months and not know that they are there. Some the women say they didn't gain a lot of weight, some had more of a robust appetite, some had morning sickness, some didn't but none of them contributed it to being pregnant.
Sadly, these women and their babies did not get prenatal care, that they was suppose to have when going through pregnancy, I feel these women were in denial of all the symptoms, that presented them selves. can some women be that out of touch with functioning of their bodies that they don't notice, any changes, in the weight,appetite, and sudden movement they're having in their stomachs.
Some of these women ,said that they thought the movements was case of real bad gas; or indigestion, this sounds almost impossible to believe. the movements of the baby is very pronounce, how can you not know that there's a baby in there. most of the mother that the medical center showed had full terms babies to weighed 7 and 8 pounds, when they were born to their mothers.
One young lady had her baby in the toilet, that was really pitiful, the baby was laying there looking up at it's mother. Since these are documented incidents, I guess there are real live mothers that really don't have a clue. it just seem almost impossible an even improbable of these mothers that didn't know they were pregnant, until the baby was being born. Go figure that one out.

I really have NO idea how they do not know. What are they thinking - or - they do not want to believe they are pregnant.

I've seen this show. And I actually had an aquaintance who's mother didn't know she was pregnant since she still had a monthly cycle the entire time. As unbelievable as it may sound, there are some women out there (whether it's due to the fact that they are not intune to their bodies, denial, or just experiencing no pregnancy symptoms) who have carried their babies full term and didn't know it.
I'm seeing that now, but it seemed so impossible, but I guess anything is possible now days. thanks for your comment and great feedback. creativeone59
I am a witness to this, a girl I went to school with found out in the most horrible way that she was pregant after seven mounths and had miscarried in a public bathroom. Wow

It's so sad. I have heard about this happening to women in Australia too. In one case apparently the baby was growing in some sort of different position, so it was more towards the spine and her tummy didn't stick out like she was pregnant, she just thought she was putting on some weight. She said she had actually taken two pregnancy tests but they showed up negative, she believed the result and didn't test again. She went to the Doctor much later to ask about what her pains were, and at this appointment found out she was about to have a baby. She hadn't been in denial, she was thrilled to be having a baby, but she wished she had longer to enjoy the pregnancy! What happened is, she had taken a Pregnancy test too soon. We're told that these tests are 99% accuracy, but hormone levels differ so much between women when pregnant and so a positive result on a pregnancy test may take longer to appear in some women.

Interesting hub. I hate to admit this but I was one of those mothers. Really I didn't know I was pregnant until the 5th month. In hindsight I may have been in denial as I was only 19. Once I found out though, that belly really started growing.
