Some of The Most Famous Women in the World
Women have gained worldwide fame for all sorts of different reasons. Some are famous because for their athletic prowess. Others are famous for their beauty. And many are famous within their niche area of interest. It would be impossible to define the single most famous woman in the entire world since there are so many different paths to fame. But there are certainly some women who stand out above the rest for their success and achievements.
Following are ten of the most famous women from different parts of the world:
- 1. Mother Teresa. She was arguably the most famous woman in the entire world during her lifetime and she continues to be famous since her death. She is one of those women who will go down in the annals of history for the change that she brought to the world simply by living her life in a way that she believed was right.
- 2. Oprah Winfrey. There are many famous female celebrities in America but the one who is recognized by everyone is Oprah Winfrey. She gets talked about by celebrity gossip hounds, female entrepreneurs and men who love to hate her. And her fame has persisted for years upon years.
- 3. Anna Loginova. This late-twenties woman gained fame in Russia as the most famous bodyguard in the country. Female bodyguards are rare and that was enough to launch her to fame. However, the real fame came after her recent death which occurred when her Porsche was carjacked and she was injured in the high speed chase that ensued.

And don't forget Lizzie Bordon! ;) thanks for hub!
I was wondering would Mona Lisa or the Virgin Mary be among the most famous?
Great Hub..I 2nd girl power.;)
I would add Dr. Aung San Suu Kyi, elected president of Burma, jailed for attempting to bring Democracy to her native land. She remains imprisoned to this day.
What is wrong with you people? The name "Madonna" is instantly recognizable. Now, then, and she will go down sort of like Marie Antoinette where people will be writing about her 400 years from now. People living in tribes in South America know who she is.
No list of famous women is complete without Joan of Arc!
How Could You Forget Madonna? :) EVERYONE Knows Her.
Nobody I Know (including myself) Know Who Roma Mitchell, Calamity Jane, Kim Hee Sun OR Anna Loginova.
Loooool :)
I agree with Steve. Madonna is definatly one of the most famous, arguably even the most famous woman in the world, especially at the peak of her fame. Everyone knows who she is, globally. You say her name, and people automatically know who your talking about. Everybody knows her songs all over the world.
Er... sorry, but MADONNA is more famous then all of those ladies. I can't stand the woman but it's just consensus that she's the most famous woman on earth I'm afraid.
I wonder that how You skip the Name of FATIMA D/O MUHAMMAD (SAWW). She is the most famous personality in the world.
I agree with Dua batool
