Some stuff you eat or drink is just plain garbage

For a very long time I didn't pay any attention to what I was eating and drinking. I just ate what I wanted to. About a two years ago I decided to add some health tips to my Mind Body Spirit class that I have taught for several years and it was an eye opener for me. I have taught spiritual development for a number of years and it felt right to discuss what is going on in our world beyond the regular knowledge for the spiritual seekers. We must be educated about our precious bodies and what we put into them as well.
I discovered for instance that milk is one of the worst things you can drink if it is not organic. It is full of bovine growth hormone and antibiotics. Many times the udders of a milk cow can be infected and that infection goes right into the milk. There is a lot more to this but suffice it to say that what I learned was disgusting and I will never ever drink milk or use it unless it is organic. Organic milk tastes better too and believe it or not lasts longer in the fridge that the other milk. Who knew? Unorganic milk has been linked to many diseases. Some countries have banned the use of certain drug use for cows. Check it out for yourself. Do your own research instead of taking my word for it. Type in the truth about milk and settle back for a wild ride of some truth you never knew.
How about those diet sodas and diet products that you use. Many of them contain aspartame.This is a nasty product was orginally developed to be something else entirely. It was later developed as an artifical sweetner! Ironically if you drink diet sodas you will develop an addiction to them sooner or later and will drink more. Aspartame is a toxic food additive and should never be consumed.
I am suggesting you do your own due dilligence on at least the truth about milk and aspartame and remove them from your diet. One thing I have found for me personally is that I no longer have constant headaches that I thought was stress related. I used to have a lot of gas and it has gone away also. There were a few other health complaints that I no longer have just by making these two changes in my diet. I have become pro-active in what goes into my body. I am educating myself.
Turning a blind eye to everything is not the way to go. I am not trying to be an alarmist. I am just saying that we should make changes and it can be small incremental changes at first. The FDA is not the watchdog that it should be. You need to be your own watchdog. Your health depends on it.
Use your mind for something other than a hat rack. Educate yourself and you may discover some amazing things about what you are eating and drinking. I find it so extraordinary that other countries have banned the use of certain additives that we still use. Why as a country are we so behind in this issue? We are supposed to be the greatest country in the world. Why is the health of our citizens being taken so lightly?
