We all want to live in a world that smells fresh and clean. For this reason, many of us chooses air fresheners to helps us to achieve this smell.

These are usually small in size and are generally used in automobiles. They come with a plastic lid with air holes. Inside the lid is a protective cover which you remove. Inside the can is a gel like base. This is the air freshener. Slowly it emits a smell into the automobile.

Hanging cardboard air fresheners

These, too, are usually inside automobiles. They are covered with a small plastic covering. Slowly, you remove the covering a little each day. This keeps the fragrance from being too powerful. This air freshener generally will last up to 30 days.

Stick on air fresheners

These are small in size and comes with an adhesive tab. You can place these in automobiles, garbage cans, drawers, etc. These also generally last for up to 30 days and are generally adjustable as to the amount of the air freshener fragrance that is emitted.

Electronic type air fresheners

These can work in many different ways: by touch of a button, by a timer or possibly both. When in operation a small stream of the air freshener is immersed into the air.

CD style air freshener

This is an unique air freshener. It looks like a CD player and plays what looks like CD's. But these CD's are actual air freshener cartridges that emits smells into the air.

Scented candles

These are popular for many reasons such as their aromatic appeal and their looks. They come in a variety of sizes, colors, and scents.

Potpourri

Potpourri is used in some craft projects, flower projects or is even placed in pretty jars.
