Something is broken here.

Barack Obama goes private.... funds that is... instead of abiding by the Presidential Public Funding Program.

For those of you who are not familiar with that program ... just go to The Presidential Public Funding Program site and you will find a great summary there of the program.

The great thing about Obama's decision to do this.. is that he makes it sound as though it is your dollar... your $5 or $10 contributions to his campaign that has made this possible ... as per his quote.... seen HERE.

"Instead of forcing us to rely on millions from Washington lobbyists and special interst PAC's, you've fueled this campaign with donation of $5, $10, $20, whatever you can afford. And because you did, we've built a grassroots movement of over 1.5 million Americans. You've already changed the way campaigns are funded because you know that's the only way we can truly change how Washington works."

He says he is opting out of the public funding program ..... because you... his wonderful followers.. with your internet promised campaign pledges or whatever.. have allowed him to make this great decision.

Sounds good.. doesn't it?

The sad thing is there are people out there who would believe this.

The facts are that he is foregoing $84 million were he to participate in the Public Funding program. Do you really believe you have as a following donated in excess of that amount to his campaign as of today? Remember,,, he said it is YOU .... so he will not be "forced" to rely on the big money donors... you know.... loybbyists and special interest groups. So... by that we are to believe that you.. his followers .. have in fact delivered to him an excess of that $84 million... or .. is he planning to downsize his campaign to meet his true donation amount from you .. his followers.. whatever that may be?

He makes it sound as though he will never have to acceot any money donations from any big money groups ever again!

The officials in his campaign .. however .. have revealed an answer more closely related to the truth of that decision .. as can be read HERE.

By the way.. Obama is the first President to opt out of the Public Funding Program since it was put into effect in the 70's .. following the Watergate fiasco.

As he has deemed almost everything else in this great country of ours ...... he calls this program....this campaign program.. as "broken" too... but you have allowed him to "change" the way of doing things.

In November of 2007, Obama replied to a query from the Midwest Democracy Network concerning abiding by the Public Funding Program .. saying: "Sen. John McCain has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election."

What is it that is broken here?

To me .. this is just a small example of how Barack Obama works... by taking the truth ......and with his words aimed at human emotions... turning it into something completely opposite of what it is.... making right seem wrong and wrong seem right... a finely tuned art that could prove to be the most disastrous danger our country has ever faced.

Of course we have seen this before.... in every election as, sadly, part of the election process ... but never before have I seen it so fine tuned and controlled and aimed at so much of the core of every value that applies to our American freedom.... to America itself ... and never before have I seen so much of our society so blind to the reality of what a man like him can do.

Somethng is broken here.

It is not what America stands for. It is not our American freedom... but...... something is definitely broken here.

We will survive it.... no matter how broken it is .

We are America.

In the meantime .. however .. it is agonizingly painful to watch.
