My eyes are upon the sparrow
Recollection of a song to sing
But I can't watch the sparrow
With eyes staring back at me in silent solidity
With eyes of tears in cold morbid suspension
Stifled and frozen by man in deaths flight
How can I watch and sing the sparrow in frigid cancellation
while God is watching me
Expecting God should watch out for me
