Sonic Heroes 2: Introduction
(Disclaimer: This Hub is fan speculation, there is no guarantee that these features will appear in Sonic Heroes 2, or if there ever will be a Sonic Heroes 2.)
Sonic Heroes is an example of a great game in theory that plays horribly in practice. The premise of the game is very innovative: players take a team of three Sonic characters through the game, using the abilities of different formations to proceed. Sonic Heroes' concept is very promising at first, but ultimately the game fails to deliver. Numerous bugs, glitches, poor programming choices, and just overall sloppiness hinder this game from becoming the classic Sonic the Hedgehog game that it should have been.
Now, in the event that Sega decides to make a sequel to Sonic Heroes (which is very unlikely), they have a lot of work to do...

Return of Nack The Weasel
You may recognize this guy from Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Drift, or Sonic the Fighters. His name is Nack the Weasel, and he hasn't been featured in a Sonic game in a while. I always liked him for some reason.
Anyways, Nack would be the central villian of Sonic Heroes 2. He's a bounty hunter, as well as a notoriously renowned thief. Eggman hires him to collect all the sources of power in the world. He steals the Chaos Emeralds, the Babylon Control Box, the Sol Emeralds, and Froggy (containing the Chaos Data). He then takes them with him to Angel Island and the Master Emerald.
Eggman fuses together all the stolen items, and accidently merges the Special Zone with the real world in the process. Eggman is shocked to discover his counterpart, Dr. Eggman Nega, was caught in the merger as well. Together, the two Eggmans quickly becomes all-powerful in this newly constructed realm, and place Nack in charge of hiding the drained-out treasures in order to maintain his power.
Now the Sonic Heroes have to find the lost treasures, defeat the 2 Eggmans, and find a way to restore their world to the way it used to be!
Origin of the Chaos Emeralds
The story of Sonic Heroes 2 should also finally explain the origin of the Chaos Emeralds as well. They were initially created in the Special Zone by Nack's ancestors, as Nack is originally from the Special Zone, too. This explains the violent reaction that occurs when Nack collects them; they are responding to his hidden ancestry.
New Teams
Two new teams will be playable in Sonic Heroes 2: Team Babylon (Jet, Wave and Storm), and Team Sol (Silver, Blaze & Marine).
Team Babylon
The Babylon Rogues assist Sonic and his friends in Sonic Heroes 2 when Jet's Babylon Control Box is stolen by Nack. They follow him to Angel Island, and are caught in the merging of the dimensions, along with the others.
In lieu of not having their Extreme Gears, Team Babylon proves to be just as adaptable to land travel as they are riding Turbulence. They bring their own unique brand of adventuring with them into the uncharted, and aptly named Distorted Zone.
Team Sol
Silver, Blaze and Marine are drawn back to Sonic's dimension when Nack manages to swipe all of the Sol Emeralds. Silver is the leader of the Speed formation, and can use his ESP in conjunction with his newly gained mobility to guide his teammates.
Blaze uses her Pyrokinesis abilities to destroy enemies and can allow her teammates to walk on lava while she leads the Power formation.
Marine recently learned the power of flight, and can scour the skies with her teammates when she leads the Fly formation. Also, she can take her team underwater and swim, a new ability that every Fly character has in Sonic Heroes 2!
Team Specific Attacks
In Sonic Heroes 2, each team will play differently from the others. Instead of every Speed character having the Tornado Attack, now only Team Babylon does. Team Sonic performs the Triangle Bounce instead, inspired by Sonic's Bounce Attack in Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles bounce together to reach new heights.
New Control Scheme
Sonic Heroes 2 will tout a revamped control scheme. One of the new features will be the option to isolate the one character from the rest of the team at the press of a button. This differs greatly from the original Sonic Heroes, where there were only certain times when you could go solo. You could then call back your team again. You can't use Team Blast when you're solo, however.
Branching Stage Progression
I hated how every team went to pretty much the same level in Sonic Heroes. And now that there are 6 teams in total, having everyone visit the same stages would present too much repitition.
Sonic Heroes 2 should feature a branching stage progression, kind of like how Shadow the Hedgehog did. Not every team goes to every level. In fact, when two teams do go to the same level (story-wise), this will result in a duel at the end of the level, like in the first Sonic Heroes.
Every Team does travel to the same first and last levels. The first level is Fallen Angel (Angel Island detriorating during the merger), and the last level is Metal Helix (Eggman's stronghold.)
Each team only travels to 7 stages, including those 2.
Revamped Multiplayer
I've only played the multiplayer on Sonic Heroes once, and with good reason. It wasn't all that great. Sonic Heroes 2 will fix that by adding in newer, more fun modes. Chaos Grand Prix, is a series of one-on-one races, with a Chaos Emerald being the prize for victory. Whoever wins the majority of the Emeralds wins.
Mapmaker
The creme de le creme. Imagine being able to make your own Sonic the Hedgehog levels! Can you say infinte replayability? And imagine being able to add your own textures, and being able to upload them online? You could be playing Sonic Heroes forever!

That's a lot of teams. Seeing Team Metal made me realize something. If Sega ever does decide to make a sequel, EVERY team should be able to go Super. And not just one character from the team like in the original Sonic Heroes, because that was just corny. And they should also be able to go super on any level once they get all the Chaos Emeralds.

I wish but for example there is no such thin as super big,super e-102 omega,super cream,etc.
There's also no such thing as Hyper Shadow or Hyper Silver either, since those two never get teh Super Emeralds.
But I'm sure Sega could squeeze all these ideas in, if they really tried.
yes there is, if u go to sega.com and have a japanese/english dictionary,it will and click on certain writing it will show every single sonic character including hyper shadow and hyper silver.I know it sounds weird,but they are in one of the games.

I think that what you have thought of is good but I think that chocola should be with cheese and there should be a team choas with choas(speed), tails doll(fly) and super metal sonic(power). And there will be a sonic heroes 2 and it is coming out soon!!!!
and i forgot mighty should be in team choatix and there should be a team mario mario and luigi(speed) yoshi(fly) wario and waluigi(power) and i have 2 new types swim and dig and team underground sonic (speed) manic (dig ,power and fly) and sonya (speed and swim)
Lol @ Team Mario, that would be pretty interesting to have Mario crossover into Sonic Heroes 2. I do think they should bring back the Chao raising mini game from the Sonic Adventure series. Of course, they would have to revamp it and make it more streamlined for Sonic Heroes 2, but I actually missed that feature in the original Sonic Heroes.

i have to say i disagree with alex though. i doubt cosmo could hold a brick much less be the power formation leader, adding to the fact that she is from the sonic x series. mixing the two would just mess everything up. keep big where he's at.

Most definitely. It's just too bad that we probably won't ever see a Sonic Heroes 2, at least not an "official" Sonic Heroes 2. Maybe a fan made game. That might be cool.
With all the weapons and mandatory vehicles for Shadow... I think Sonic Heroes 2 would be a huge redeeming move for Sega.
Yeah, I never understood that. If Shadow is just as fast as Sonic, what was the point of making him drive vehicles and shoot guns? I was so disappointed in Shadow the Hedgehog, I'm glad I got it as a gift.
I Dont know man. Seems they were trying to turn Shadow into the next GTA game or something, but it was completely bogus.
They literally took away all of his speed in Sonic next-gen.
I never played the '06 Sonic the Hedgehog because it just looked terrible. What, there were only like 6 stages or something? Oh man, it was bad. I don't know what their problem is, but Sonic Team needs to stop kicking out these mediocre games, or people are gonna stop wasting their time.

Granted the game needed improvement, it really wasn't that bad.
Some things did get monotonous, but it was also an experiment. For what it was, I think is was pretty good.

@Jake: I don't think improvement is the word. There were way too many problems with the Sonic Heroes, and this is coming from somewhere who started playing Sonc the Hedgehog from the beginning. Why was the 3rd Chaos Emerald harder to get than the last one, lol?

This game would be epic!!! You should also add a shop of cheats and easter eggs and other special power ups when you beat certain things, but when you unlock them and it tells you so it should tell you what you did so you can tell others or keep it to yourself, power ups should include secret teams like: Team Sol Hunters: (Insert name of robot captain in sonic adventure rush)(power), Shark(speed), and that robots minions/birds for fly. Other power ups would be the ability to turn super on any level you've beaten (this means all of any team, but for exceptions, like super omega, they would just have power ups and look more dangerous). Easter eggs like making sonic or someone do silly taunting gestures that actually work on opponents and other appearance glitches. Cheats would be invincibility and unlimited ultra (or whatever it was) bar and unlimited lives and such. You could also buy parts for your custom stages and their themes. Like in sonic adventure battle 2 you should buy themes for the layout of the main menu. You should also be able to buy mini games to play. This will all be bought using a coin system using the coins you earn in the mini games and on levels.

Hi there. I have to say, that idea is very good and well-thought out. I like the idea of adding in Blaze, Silver, and Marine, since I actually liked them in Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure. If they wanted to, they could add a Babylon team, but I don't really know a lot about them. However, I do think that it'd be cool to take an idea from LEGo Batman, and once, you've beaten that part of the story, with and good Team, you should be able to play as an evil team, probably consisting of Metal Sonic, Puppet Tails, and Robo Knuckles. They would be the same characters, but would play through the normal versions of the levels, and you are setting up the difficulties for Team Sonic, Chaotix, etc, etc. Also, the teams should stay the same. Just because it would ruin the point of a sequel if they changed what worked. Because, the teams were good.
Basically, don't fix it if it ain't broke. Add in a Evil story. Add in Team Babylon, and team Blaze/Silver, and you're set. I'm not sure what to call it, because both have been playable in a game by themselves. Finally, fix some glitches that have been present in the original, and if you put in on Wii, some glitches in SatSR, SatBK, which was quite a good game, by my standards. It mixed Sonic's speed, with Zelda gameplay, so it was quite fun. The storyline was ok. Better in SatSR.
I like the idea of an "evil team". If they would be the same characters, then they could probably work them in as costume changes for Team Sonic, maybe?
They definitely need to fix up some of the buggy gameplay that was in the first Sonic Heroes. It really takes away from the game when you start dieing random deaths because of sloppy programming.

I agree with sonicwalter, unlike most of the recent games (excluding sonic the hedgehog, it was epic in terms of story graphics, and simplified gameplay)Present the idea, you just did all of the work for them anyways lol
But anyways Being able to play as the evil guys would be pretty cool. It would really mix together like in sonic adventure 2 battle, but WAAAYYYY better! Then in the end nack and dr.eggman nega betray eggman and become the sole rulers of both worlds. Knowing the structure of the base and wanting revenge, Dr.Eggman teams up with the others who all come to confront the eggmen and plots a plan with the others. Each team divides up to get their own treasures, little do they know, not even eggman having been secretly kept out of the loop, that at the end of each teams level awaits an exetremely powerful boss.
Heres one boss already. Inferior shadow clones swarming you, a reawakened chaos, upset by the emeralds powers being drained for pure evil purposes unable to tell who has done it he lashes out in blind rage. Anyone want to add on to this can, I'd love to see more bosses like shadow clones and PO Chaos

These are the robots that are eggmans robot lackeys in sonic x. hopefully they get the actual voice actors of these guys to do voicing.

My idea of sonic heroes 2 takes place in 2 seperate time frames. It starts with metal sonic returns to get his revenge on eggman acommpanied by Metal knuckles and the tails doll ( both from sonic R and Sonic R 2) they are seen and reported on the news wich makes all 4 of the original teams go out hunting for them. Except for team dark, in heir story, rouge goes to the space colony ARK and find, to her horror, shadow and omega deactivated. she reactivateds omega, releases shadow, and in a fury, they blame team metal. also, the power of the sol emeralds has mysteriously vanished, and in the process of losing power, they transported team sol to sonic's deminsion.They decide to look for the chaos emeralds, believing they may find the cause of the sol emeralds loss in power. Eggman is bugging all 6 teams during this time frame which leads them all to him, looking for answers about team metal (omitting team metal, like i said they want revenge for deactivation) leading them all to the doctors newest creations, The egg carrrier mkIII, and the final boss of time frame 1, the Chaos egg ( an eggaman robot resembleing perfect chaos.) defeated by all 6 teams, eggman falls. then team sol uses the chaos emeralds to return to their dimension, but at the exact same moment, the master emerald is smashed releasing Tikal and chaos to the Egg carrier mkIII and causing the chaos emeralds to transport all near them (that is to say, Tikal, Team dark, chaos and knuckles, and team metal, the others were away from it) to blaze's dimension. Time frame 2, takes place in balze's dimension, and the master emerald shards being scattered in the dimension, a new team is formed, Team M.E. (tikal: speed, Knuckles: power and chaos, Spininig his watery arms around like a rotor: Fly) Team dark, due to rouge's obssesion with the master emerald, and shadow knowing that if sonic tails, or knucles is involved, it usually leads to eggman (nega in this case) follows team M.E. team metal senses another sonic-like robot in this dimension(metal sonic 3.0) and go to rescue him. Team sol is trying to stop eggman nega. When Time frame 2 is done with, all teams are transported to the special zone, and have to fight the final boss of the game, Metal Madness 3.0

ok, i absoloutely LOVE sonic heroes, i used to have it years ago, but i had to get rid of it when we moved. then i searched EVERYWHERE for it again, we eventally spotted it in K-mart, and it was the last one, so i got it! good job they made it platnium, best game ever to me! although still can't get the last few emeralds. Anyways, i really really really think they should make a sonic heroes 2. my ideas for teams would be:
team sonic- Sonic, Tails, Knuckles
team rose- Amy, Cream/Cheese, Cosmo
team dark- Shadow, Rouge, Lien-Da (from the comics)
