There are also great cashback deals with free Nintendo Wii for our gamer users. Anyway, let's take a look at what the Sony Ericsson G705 has to installed for us.

Design:

For the design, the Sony Ericsson G705 looks a bit plain for a slider phone but its not ugly at all, just simple and subtle look that people are gonna love once you get a hold of it.

  • It's got a 95 x 47 x 14.3 mm overall size and is a lightweight in 98 grams, by this phone feels a bit fragile.

  • The phone is equipped with a 2.4 inch 262k TFT color screen in 320 x 240 pixels resolution.

  • Its got a good quality and displays good details too.

  • I like the G705's flash theme, it looks cool and well animated.

  • There's quite a doubt in its keypads, it feels like the S500i's keypads which easily breaks. I do hope I'm wrong.

Multimedia:

Although it isn't a Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson G705 has pretty good multimedia features to boast.

  • It has an good Media Player has good audio output allowing you to listen to your favorite songs without losing quality.

  • Like the Walkman series, it has MegaBass, TrackID and PlayNow.

  • It has an Album Art Display, no more boring interface. You can also watch Videos, your own videos or imported from PC or online via Video Streaming.

Internet:

You can access the Internet on the G705 like it's a smartphone, well not entirely but close enough!

  • It's got a fast WiFi and EDGE technology, capable of speeds 2x or more than GPRS.

  • It also has 3G HSDPA which makes Video Calls smoother and faster.

  • It's got a Access NetFront Web Browser which makes web surfing more secure and easier.

  • It's got A GPS Navigation, Wayfinder Navigator and Google Maps, great features for users who like to travel or just finding the nearest restaurant.

Messages:

In terms of messaging, the G705 is going a superb phone for messaging.

  • It can receive and send SMS (Text Messaging) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging).

  • It also has Predictive Text functionality to help you send messages fast when you really need it.

  • You can also access your Email, no problems in sending and receiving Emails.

Calling:

As for calling ,the G705 is going to be loved by busy users.

  • It's got Quad Band Technology capable of receiving GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 plus UMTS 2100. These allow you to have great network connectivity even if you're abroad, depends on network provider though... Calling is an ease as it has Handsfree Speakerphone, it sends clear messages even if you're a bit far from the phone.

Camera:

The camera feature on the G705 isn't such a big deal, but it's got a balanced capability in this department.

  • It only has 3.2 Megapixel Camera, nothing to boast about unlike those on newer phones but does the job.
  • But even though it's not quite the latest camera megapixel power, it can still take excellent pictures and videos.

  • Thankfully it's got a Photo light equipped so you're good to go taking pictures anywhere you want, also in Videos recording.

Battery and memory:

  • The Sony Ericsson G705 can store up to a decent 120 MB of songs or just data files and pictures, this is just raw so if you want to have a really powerful memory, you'll have to get a Memory Stick Micro.

  • If you buy one, the phone can have as much as 1 GB or more. The phone can last for 10 Hours Talk Time or 400 Hours Standby, a very hard working phone indeed.
