My soul surrounds you
Bespeaking when unrest
A painted guise
That strains your eyes
Until your soothed
Digest
The pains will surely rest
Ashes to the wind
Healed, no scars bare your chest
The limelight glows
As breath disposed
Your eyes feel the heat of the sun
only you
Fit as a glove
As heat in the dead if winter
Blowing through the dust
With our blazing trust
At all times with hearts of reason
Flowering every season
Even when life bears ration
Our souls acquire a passion
Where others have failed and purged
In lessor forthright fashion
With you I'll always be
As poet's pass eternally
In the truth of secrets earned.

Very nice. I like the sprinkled couplets amidst the story. Also, I checked out the poem, Invictus. I like it as it reminds me of one of my favorites - The Hill, by Nissim Ezekiel:

Sorry for not getting to your work sooner, had a horrible week. But I feel redeemed after reading this one. It is as if I were reading a prayer. A fitting poem to help me to solace after such a hard week.

I*n*v*i*c*t*u*s you have quite a remarkable soul that tells you of its inner workings ~ the rebirth in letting go. I like the crescendo you create of this thought with the word cords you pluck.

Behind every line is a reason...sometimes not as apparent as others. But, none the less not diminished. Good poem. Mysterious at its best, yet somehow open. Cool animae video too!
