One last pie

One last pie for Soupy Sales-

An American icon has fallen. One more of the great stars of golden age TV have passed into the darkness with the death of Soupy Sales. The affable jokester best known for a cream pie to the kisser died today at the venerable age of 83.

As with all the fallen stars of yesterday he will be sorely missed. Talents like that will not be seen again. Funny men like Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Cid Caesar, and Milton Berle created the landscape of our childhood. Remember Red Skelton and Jackie Gleason?

These are the people who taught us how to laugh. I want to dedicate this hub to all of the fallen heroes of the Golden Age of TV. Let’s take a walk down memory lane.

Thanks for the time

I hope you enjoyed my little slip into what my heart remembers as the very best time American TV. Do a little reminiscing of your own if you like. Talent that great deserves to be remembered.
