In the digital age it's so easy to find a quick photo through a Google search. It's just as easy to break copyright laws by using those images-whether it's for a website, a Word document or a hub.

However, before a Google searcher right-clicks the mouse and saves an image to their computer, thinking it is the only way to get a photo without pulling out a credit card, they should check out these several sources of high quality free images.

FreeFoto.com

This collection of photos is made up of 118,957 images. The photos are broken down into 154 sections and 3,314 categories for organization.

Their photos are available for online usage, but are also available for print usage for a fee. However, when the photos are being used online FreeFoto.com requires that you give attribution and provide a link back to their site. Not too hard considering they're saving bloggers, hubbers and lots of others a chunk of money.

With FreeFoto.com no account is required to download a photo, but the user must supply an email address. They do have some stipulations when it comes to commercial versus non-commercial use, so be sure to check out the terms of agreement page.

FreeImages.co.uk

This gallery is comprised of 2,500 images. It is a good bit smaller than some galleries and the quality isn't always as high, but it is worth taking a look at. You never know when they may have the perfect just-the-picture-I-was-looking-for shot.

FreeImages also requires that you give attribution for the picture you use, but again, that's not too difficult. To download images the user must sign up to be on their mailing list. Upon confirmation of email address, FreeImages will send a password to use for login.

This company is primarily stock photography (for sale). With 3,801,370 photos they run a big business. However, some images submitted to them by photographers don't quite make the cut and they are sometimes put into the "free" section. If you see something you like in that section, download it quickly because it may not be there tomorrow. The dozen or so photos posted there are rotated daily.

With a free, simple account anyone is eligible to purchase stock photos or browse and download from the free section. No attribution is required for the photos used.
