The entryway is one of the most important areas of the home when it comes to decorating. It is the first and the last area guests see upon entering and departing the home. When decorating with southwestern style, the entryway can be incredibly impressive. With the addition of well-chosen southwestern wall artcreatively arranged, it will become a memorable part of the home that you will be proud to display. Consider the following creative ideas for entryway decorating with southwestern metal art, and turn the most impressionable part of your home into a space worthy of a western home decor magazine.

Create an Entryway Focal Point

The focal point in a room or space is the area eyes are drawn to, and it can make a positive impression, a negative impression, or absolutely no impact at all. Create a focal point in the entryway beginning with color. If possible, paint the area opposite to the door a different color than the other walls to highlight the space. Next, select southwestern wall art that will immediately draw the eyes to the space. Select a large work of metal art, and it enhance the art further with a pair of candle lanterns that will coordinate well with the southwestern theme. This grouping will look outstanding day or night, even when the candles are not lit.

Decorating the Entryway with Southwestern Shadowbox Wall Sculptures

Shadowbox wall hangings are a type of art recognized for their depth and dimension, and when decorating an entryway with southwestern style, metal shadowbox art is an excellent choice. Search online for southwestern wall art, and look for square selections with dimensional inset sculptures of southwestern items such as cowboy hats, lassos, worn boots with spurs, canteens, or any other subject related to the southwest. Arrange the art on an entryway wall in a set of two or three for an eye-catching display that will garner lots of attention. Top the display with an interesting accent such as real lasso mounted using a few simple cup hooks painted the same color as the wall. The hardware will blend in, and the lasso will add interest and appeal to the grouping.

Southwestern Horses

When thinking of southwestern art, many people immediately envision dessert cacti, pueblos, and chili peppers, but this particular style has much more to offer. Instead of decorating with typical southwestern items and accessories, choose high-quality pieces most others do not consider. Southwestern metal wall art that displays beautifully detailed horses are an excellent choice. Search for a blue ribbon horse surrounded by dimensional stars to make a grand entryway impression. To accent a piece such as this, hang a few real iron horseshoes around the southwestern art. It will look incredible and far better than typical ceramic cacti, and it will look much classier than strings of chili peppers.

When decorating an entryway with southwestern style in mind, always look for unique high-quality pieces. A single work of high-quality wall art is far more impressive than several lower quality pieces that will cheapen the look of the space. Decorating your entryway with uniqueness and quality in mind is a sure way to make an impressive statement, and the entryway will always be a well-decorated part of the home.
