It is very common to send mothers a poem for mother’s day, in addition to any present you buy her. There are lots of people that have mothers that mainly speak Spanish, so spanish mothers day poems are very popular.

A good place to put your poem is in Mother’s Day Cards. Your mother will love such a gift, mainly because you can show her your feelings. Every case is different, but a good number of mothers would prefer a sweet mother’s day poem rather than an expensive gift without some words written.

Of course you can give her a mother’s day poem written in English, it is likely that she will understand it, and love it, but if Spanish is her native tongue, a good poem written in the language she knows most will be a great detail.

The purpose of a mother's day poem is to make her emotions appear, and reading it in her native tongue will help in creating the right atmosphere. Taking that into account and mentioning a few important events that she had spent with you, such as when you graduated and she was there or when you told her she was going to become a grandmother, will probably make her cry and remember that gift for a long time.

What should a good mother’s day poem contain ?

A mother doesn't expect to receive the best piece of poetry in the world.  Just a few lines expressing the love you feel for her would be great.  In addition,  some funny quotes can make her lough and improve the poem.

Of course,  you should not mention any negative things, or problems you may have had with your mom.  This is not the time to mention those problems.   If you wan't to write a poem to complain because of certain attitudes of your mother,  it would better not to write anything.
