Spark plugs are used as ignition systems in automobiles and they receive electricity from an ignition coil which is also called as magneto. This electricity is used to create a spark which ignites the fuel. The resistance that one may see in a spark wire set is very low so that the energy is transferred in maximum capacities.

Although spark plugs are resistant to wear and tear since they have no movement, it is important to check the spark plug wire set every once in a while. Sometimes due to overheating of the spark plug the ignition timing would be incorrect. If there are no problems in the heat range, the cooling system has to be checked in this case. There maybe times when moisture is caught in a trap between the wire set, the spark hole and the other wire set. In this case there is arching that is caused. Due to this the spark plug may never function again and may need to be replaced.
