Special Pickup Day

When I was walking back home this morning,having dropped the kids off at school,I came across an obstacle that meant I had to walk on to the road to avoid it.

You see today is special pickup day when you throw out your old furnature, ornaments,toys and other items that you have no use for anymore.

so I suppose the person who forced me off the pavement(side walk) must have been having a massive clear out.

Anyway as I stepped on to the road something caught my eye and another thing,and before you know it I had my hands full the rest of the way home.

I didn't even think about it at the time,I just lifted the items and took them home with me,I didn't even think about people seeing me or what anyone thought about what the hell I was doing at the time.

Ok,so I went home and dropped the items in the hall,got the dog lead out got the dog and took him out for his ablusions to the field behind my house,and then I went back home to inspect my treasure.

The first item I picked up was a zebra rocking horse picture top right,I checked it for woodworm and to see if it was safe to use,all it needed was a wipe down with a damp cloth it was in perfect condition. I found the Zebra on the web, it would cost $125.00 to buy new.

The other item or items I picked up was a set of golf clubs 10 irons,a putter and a 3 wood,the clubs are also in very good condition (picture below).

In the next few days I will put the golf clubs up for auction on Ebay,and I will let you know the final selling price I get for them.the rocking zebra I have already sold to a neighbour for £30.00 around $59.00.

I expect the golf clubs will sell for around £75.00 $135.00, not a bad result for something that was on its way to the local dump.

I didnt need to sell the clubs on Ebay my brothers friend offered me £80 for them so my total profit was £110.00 for items found in the street not a bad find i think thhat works out at approx $205.00
