Speed Up windows by disabling unwanted services

Windows is the most popular OS in today’s PC world. There are more than hundreds of SERVICES in windows that make it so popular to use. By default most of the services are turned on. But you may not require these services for your purpose. So you can disable some of the services running on machine to speed up your system. Disabling these services will save run time as well as boot time.

Here are a list of Windows 7 system services that can be safely set to Manual or Disabled.

PRECAUTION: It is more safe to set the following services to manual rather than disabling them. This is because when some times if windows needs a service windows can start it by itself if and only if it is set to manual. If you set it to disabled Windows 7 cannot start the service by it's own.

·         Right-click on Computer icon on desktop and select Manage, it'll open a new window. Now go to Services & Applications -> Services. You can also open the same from Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. Or you can directly open "Services" list by providing services.msc command in RUN or Startmenu search box.

·         Now you can set the unnecessary services to DISABLED or MANUAL. Just double-click on any service and select the desired option in Startup type list box.
