Spicy Clam Dip


Easy Quick Dip Recipe

 Ingredients

  • 8 oz container whipped cream cheese. (generic works fine)
  • 8 oz sour cream (same here)
  • Fresh or canned minced or chopped clams,
  • Hot Pace Picante Sauce

First about the clams- the bigger the pieces the better. Unfortunately here in small town Texas, we are limited to canned clams that are chopped pretty small. I prefer big chunks!

  • In a medium size bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream to get a smooth mix consistency. This is much easier with the whipped cream cheese.
  • Stir in the chopped clams.
  • Add Hot Pace Picante to taste. I like it spicy so I add about 4 ounces. This makes it spicy not hot. Remember that the rest of the ingredients dilute the heat of the picante. That is why i do not use medium or mild.

Serve with your favorite chips. Fritos scoops work well as do potato chips. Tortilla chips---- not as good.
