Riddle me this:What makes Spider Solitaire so addictive?

Spider Solitaire is one of the most addictive free games on the computer. Initially, I thought it was just the people where I worked. But after working with many computer customers of all ages and levels of computer literacy, I am certain that Spider Solitaire takes over the mind.

I am not a Spider addict, I do not even know how to play, but I know people that do play Spider and they are addicts.I often get called outto repair computers and find that the main reason the person wants the computer fixed is that they cannot play Spider. Of all of the programs I have been asked to make sure work on the computer, Spider is #1.

Spider has over a million enrties in Google and growing. Several hundred videos on Youtube and it's own entry in Wikipedia. But  still do not know what makes it so addictive.

Spider Addicts:

• Routinely burn dinner, breakfast and lunch, becasue they do not want to stop playing
• Wear diapers to reduce bathroom time.
• Cannot get to sleep without playing at least a 100 games of Spider Solitaire.
• Wakes in the middle of the night and sleep-play Spider Solitaire, and win.
• Would rather play Spider Solitaire then have sex.
• Would rather play Spider Solitaire than work, especially when they are at work.
• Call their computer the Spider Solitaire machine.
