I've been an online marketer for over 13 years. My first stab was a home made web site and I made $695 from a travel affiliate banner. OK, I wasn't rich, but very excited! The Internet was so much easier to market on back then. It was less competitive, not so many MLM opportunities, and people weren't so jaded either.

Marketing on the Internet has become highly sophisticated. There are so many venues to choose from, Web 2.0, Social bookmarking, Article /Blog writing, SEO tactics, organic verses ppc inclusion in your strategies, backlinking, and even being selective in your domain name choices. Back then it was traffic exchanges (which I do still use for a few minutes a day-it keeps me in touch with new launches and what's popular) and safelists. I still use both of these for marketing purposes and gaining traffic and rankings. Those that discovered PPC first are now millionaires.

Along the way I became interested in Marketing Systems. I have tried many since the beginning of my Internet business experiences. You often see "Systems work...People don't" on web sites. It's not true, systems work if you work them. Or pay money to have them "worked" for you.

Marketing Systems used to be built around a specific program, now they are almost a stand alone element even though they are still built around some specific program or product. An example would be The Reverse Funnel. It is basically a Marketing System to bring new members into Global Resorts Network. It's quite expensive, and does generate residual income for it's members even if they don't generate a sign up in GRN. But how long can they keep their system if they aren't making sales?

I have tried Veretekk, (both as a gold member and as a free one) and many others along the way. What attracted me to Veretekk? You could use it for ANY program. However....we all have our own opinions, but I found it under delivered.

A nice one online now is LHNProBuilders. The system is provided for free for anyone on that specific team that maintains an autoship and provides unique leads and a lead capture with follow up system. That's pretty much the basic standard for a marketing system. (not the free part, but the general design of lead capture/follow up type of system.

I am currently giving Spider Web Marketing a spin. It is well put together, and even if someone chooses not to join certain parts of it they can still develop 8 income streams for free. NOW..THAT is a system. It teaches sound marketing principles and is actually fun. I will be back periodically to let you know how it's going, but so far I have to say it's one of the most promising things I have found online in a VERY long time!
