Spore Hero One Minute Video Game Review

If you want to be a hero and have an adventure on an alien planet saving other species of creatures, then you’ll definitely enjoy having a go at Spore Hero. It is a strategy and simulation game guaranteed to keep you and your friends playing.

Although Electronic Arts (EA) released Spore last year for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh, and an RPG version for Nintendo DS, the newest version of it can now be played on the Wii, which means more realistic fun as you go along your adventure.

How Your Spore Hero Adventure Begins

Your adventure starts when two meteors, one blue and the other red, speed across the sky, and make a crash landing on an alien planet. Each meteor brought with them one egg each, and the creature that hatches from the blue one will be the hero you created. The meteors break into pieces and the red pieces of meteor infects all the other creatures causing them to be hypnotized. Because you are the only creature immune to the infection, you are tasked to find a cure. You then travel around the planet with the help of a creature called Meejee.

Get Ready to Indulge Your God Complex

In Spore Hero, you can indulge your god complex and make your own character, or a Sporeling, through the wide selection of features from the creature creator. There are no holds barred when it comes to creating your hero. If you think having a creature with a hundred eyes and just one leg to stand on is way cooler, then what’s stopping you from making one?

Animation & 3D Effect Add Excitement

As you go along your quest, you will meet different kinds of creatures, maybe even weirder than what you would have imagined. The animation and the 3D effect add to the level of excitement. With your Wii remote, you can fight against some nasty creatures by spewing poison at them, piercing them with fire spikes, or even biting them. You will have six areas to visit, and each of them will lead you to a different mission. Not all missions will have creatures to fight, though. Some will tell you to dance, sing, or even help a creature to evolve by finding him new parts.

In Spore Hero, you can tweak and customize your hero by discovering more new parts for yourself. All you have to do is shake your Wii remote whenever you see a fossil, and you can dig the new parts out and store it in your inventory. There are over 250 parts for you to uncover, and with each part you will learn a new ability.

With these skills, you can actually go back to previous areas and explore for more parts. In case you get lost while travelling around, you can easily pull out a map to get you back on track. You will definitely need to have more skills and become stronger and more powerful so you can fight off the evil Zarkhator, the other creature that hatched from the red meteor’s egg.

Spore Hero Battle Mode

Spore Hero can even become a multiplayer game. With the Battle mode, you and your friend can create your own outrageous creatures and fight against each other. Although the fighting ring can be a bit small, you will not be disappointed with looking at the background scenery which adds more color to your combat.
