This little beauty promises to give us a lot of help and communication while traveling.
For its size approximately 111mm x69mmx44 mm and about 210 grams in weight, it offers you a world wide satellite communication coverage. Often in areas where your normal cell phone will not.
This will offer you emergency help when you need it the most. This little beauty SPOT also allows you to communicate with friends and family while away on holidays. It gives out a message that you pre set. They can also track it with Google so they can follow your progress.

The Way it works
When activated if you are in trouble, SPOT will find your exact co-ordinance from the GPS network, and send your location to the 911 emergency response center. They will then contact the local police or the necessary departments, involved in receiving the emergency signal, depending on which country you are in.
Security check
Each time you turn SPOT on it recommends that you go through a check system to make sure it is communicating correctly.
Battery
SPOT has a long life battery. It has its own on/off switch to avoid activating it by accident.
Land or Water
SPOT also works efficiently over land or water.

Yes I have been told they will be in Australia in a month. So waiting to see. Specs say they contact 911, but in australia our emergency is 000. So doing a bit more checking before we go away on trip before buying.

Useful device for emergencies, all seems rugged for outdoor use.
Nice and small so will not take up much room. Running out of room at the moment and have to check weight factor as well.
