Spray Tanning Vs Natural Sun Tanning
65Models and celebrities use spray tanning so much and now they are marketing it. It seems if you want a perfect and even tan you have to go out and get some kind of tan. And sunless tanning is what is in now. Spray tanning is the most popular spray tanning technique although lotions are popular too. People love easy ways, the love to lose weight easily even if it's unhealthy and they want to achieve an easy tan. And spray tanning is will give you the tan you want in a matter of minutes. Health reports warn us of the sun and how we can develop skin cancer from too much sun exposure. But what if we have a natural tan of the course of several weeks or even a month. And this would be a truly natural way because using all these chemicals on my skin is something that I would rather pass on. I am not advocating going out and laying in the sun all day. But there is nothing wrong with getting a decent amount of natural sunlight because you will gain Vitamin D as well.
When you watch commercials that state that sunless tanning is safer than a tan from the sun then what is that based on? Who pays for such a research? We know that overexposure to sunlight is dangerous but what makes sunless tanning safer? The truth is it does not because it too is unsafe and although I don't have the scientific backing I do have common sense. Common sense is any kind of chemical that is dangerous to humans is just as dangerous when it is applied to the skin. The thing is many kinds of chemicals are used in sunless tanning products. Chemicals that are not regulated by any health agency but then again who cares about people who want to get tans. Surely there are more pressing matters in society. The result is that thousands of people are going inside tanning salons each and every day. The worst situations are the ones who can't actually afford a true sunless tan. So they opt to enter a spray tanning booth that simply sprays your entire body with all these chemicals. But what for people who can barely pay for a spray tanning booth session and this usually people from lower income. The enter poorly equipped tanning salons who use tanning booths that don't provide proper ventilation or proper drainage. These booths let all the fumes and chemicals to be airborne and the customer inhales these chemicals.
It is your decision but think about it how much more attractive will you look being more tanned. And if the person you covet wants you tanned then what will you continue to use spray tanning for as long as you continue to go out with them. The vanity nonsense should be limited to hollywood celebrities because when they use spray tanning methods they are getting professional services. Professionals that use the most expense spray tanning solutions which also happen to be the safest out the pack. These celebs also get these sunless tans because they most. When they are not working or on the front page of the magazine they are just as pale as you and I. Again though it is your body and your health but spray tanning is not exactly as safe as it is made out to be, do some research and you will know for your own self.

Kate,
I guess it comes down to the sources we choose to read and believe. Dermatologists have expressed their concerns that Spray Tanning Booths are responsible for causing cancer. So is the spray tanning solution in airbrushes different than that in automated booths? I think not. Just be careful and make sure you scrutinize the chemical ingredients used in the solution that is sprayed on your skin.

The FDA does monitor the chemicals that go into spray tans. DHA has been declared nontoxic and safe for cosmetic use. We only absorb the solution into our dead layer of skin and smart people do not inhale it or let it get on their eyes - spray tanning is far safer than sun tanning. And I know you said that you're not advocating laying in the sun everyday, but if we can achieve that level of tanned look through spray tanning then surely we should choose that option over sun baking. Maybe your issue is with tanning as a whole and not spray tanning.
