Squid Wraps Heroes Star Masi Oka In Tentacles
57
Masi Oka is Hiro Nakamura
Masi Oka plays Hiro Nakamura on Tim Kring and NBC TVs HEROES series.
Well into Season Two, the show Heroes, no matter how fantastical the storyline and characters, is rated as one of the top shows in North America.
Currently, I have featured Masi Oka as well as character, Hiro Nakamura, on my Squid lenses - hence - Masi is wrapped in the tentacles of my Pet Squid!
This is one predicament that this hero has not managed to get himself out of, but no matter...
My Squid isn't going to hurt Masi (or Hiro) one little bit. She just wants to show Masi off a little bit!

Note
Some details about Masi that are NOT on the lens:
* Masi said in an interview, right after the close of Season One (interview found at the 'superherohype' website), that the exertion - "that intense staring and head rattling" wears him out. Masi joked that in season two, he might have a brain aneurysm! (We sure hope not). So, apparently, Hiro Nakamura's "TELEPORTATIONS" on the show are hard work!
* Masi's character, Hiro, is one of the only heroes on the show that is NOT reluctant about being a hero and using extraordinary abilities to help others.
* Masi's name is pronounced, "Mah-See," with the 'Mah' sound like in 'father' - Not Ma-see with the 'a' sound in 'apple.'
* Masi loves working with his Heroes 'father,' actor, George Takei. George Takei should be a familiar face. George is his own kind of Sci-Fi hero, as he is one of the original Star Trek cast members from way back in the 1960's. We can't imagine Masi 'not' being totally thrilled that George plays his father on Heroes, can we?
* Masi has a really good sense of humour and doesn't take his celebrity status too seriously. In fact, he doesn't get caught up in it much at all and only visits 'articles,' websites and other public goings-on that his publicist and friends eventually mention to him. Way to go Masi - a Hero with his feet firmly planted in reality. (This is good, since Masi's Heroes character rarely plants his feet anywhere for long!).
* Masi is glad that, with his celebrity status, people call him by name instead of calling him "Yo, Asian Dude" (quote from IMDB.com). Also, Masi wishes that if girls are going to rush forward and kiss him like they do now that he's famous - they would stick around and not run away so quickly!
* Masi's mother is very superstitious and won't come to live in America. She says that everytime she visits, she hears some kind of bad news about Masi's celebrity status or the show, but while she stays in Japan, she's always hearing great news about Masi and the show.
