Network Marketing with Squidoo

Use Web 2.0 Strategies to Drive Traffic To You!!

What is Squidoo, a fish or Network Marketing tool? A fish, far from it. Squidoo is one of the easiest ways for Network Marketers and Internet Marketers to share their passions with the world.

One of the challenges with using the internet to market your Home Based Business is creating and establishing your identity and then getting found by people searching for what you have. Throwing up a website or blog is only part of the whole picture when starting to market yourself online. Today, Social Networking sites like, MySpace, FaceBook and YouTube have created places for people to connect, share ideas, stories, life experiences and yes, business opportunities. It takes connection with these groups to really make a difference in getting your message out for people to find.

With Squidoo, users create one page lens's on any topic of their interest or expertise. Right now there are over a half million Squidoo lens's and a "community" of people who not only use their lens to share their passions but create income for themselves or charity. You notice I underlined the word "Community". Community means a group of people and in the case of Squidoo a very large group of people. That is the key in today's internet world. Connecting with folks that share the same passions, same interests, hobbies or whatever it is that you are trying to let people know about.

How does this apply to Network Marketing or building a Home Based Business. Visit Squidoo once and search for the keyword Network Marketing. You will find nearly 1,000 lens's currently built that have something to do with Network Marketing. That should tell you something. Some of the people who have built these lens's have more than one, in fact some of the top lens producers have hundreds of len's built. That is some powerful marketing. The great thing about Squidoo is that once you have a lens started you can access this large community to start sharing your stuff, asking for advice to make it better, join forums, link to other groups, add favorites and start connecting with people who are just like you. Before you know it, you have visitors coming to your lens daily and interacting with you. You will have lens masters helping you to build a better lens or start a second one. You will have other folks linking to you and sharing your lens on theirs. Can you see the snowball affect? With a little work and time, your lens's will start to be picked up on the search engines and away you go.

Squidoo is one of those sites that is a must to add to any marketing strategy, but it takes work, time and committment to make it successful. Don't expect to create one lens and then leave it alone. The trick to Social Networking is consistency. At least once a week, but better if more, you need to update your information, add new content, talk on the forumns, connect and have fun. If you do this for a period of time your traffic, sales, leads and business will begin to grow each and every day. The most exciting thing about Squidoo is that it is FREE!! If you are marketing on a budget, you can't get any better than free.

Start building your Squidoo Lens today and connect it with all your other online marketing tools. Consistently update it, add to it and get involved with the community and soon you will see the fruits of your work.

Check out my Network Marketing Squidoo Lens and see what things are possible. When you have your's created, add me to your favorites and leave me your comments and I will do the same. That's how it all begins. Good luck on Squidoo, and yes, it's not a fish, but it is a powerful Network Marketing tool.
