Squirrels: Cute Or An Annoyance?

Squirrels are cute to many of us. While out walking we see dozens of them scampering up trees, eating away at nuts, or staring at us as we walk by hoping that we won’t approach them. They are often nothing to fear because they are not known to attack people. Unless of course there are some really angry squirrels that we have never seen.

What most people don’t know is that these animals are a type of rodent. When we hear the word rodent the first thing that usually comes into our minds are mouse and rats. This makes us do a double take and reevaluate just how cute squirrels really are. If they are rodents that means that they have the ability to spread germs, fleas, and become a nuisance to us and our homes.

It is true that these somewhat cute and cuddly little animals can leave people alone or they can annoy them to the point of distraction. One of the worst things that they have been known to do is chew through electrical wiring that leads to the home. This will cost you tons of money to repair and can even start a fire in the home.
