Sylvester Stallone As John Rambo

Sylvester Stallone was born in New York City on 1946, and educated in Switzerland and at the University of Miami. Sylvester Stallone has established worldwide recognition as an actor, writer and director since he played the title role in his own screenplay of "Rocky," which won the Academy Award in 1976 for Best Picture. He also one was one of the biggest movie stars of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Stallone Hollywood Career

Stallone's career actually began with an appearance in a pornographic film, appeared in an all-nude off-Broadway play called Score, and in 1970 he was paid $200 to appear in a cheap porno feature called The Party at Kitty and Stud's

Stallone's first getting more work in small film roles, but had his greatest success with Rocky in 1976. Stallone big breakthrough eventually arrived when he took matters into his own hands and wrote Rocky (1976). Stallone didn't gain recognized until his starring role in Rocky , a film that he wrote in only three days and become box office, which grossed $80 million domestic and $150 million worldwide

Stallone found a second signature role in 1982, as John Rambo in First Blood, a non-stop action movie about a victimized Vietnam who takes out his vengeance on a small town's sadistic sheriff. Sylvester Stallone well remembered worldwide for his role as Vietnam veteran John Rambo in First Blood (1981), Rambo and its sequels (1985, 1988). Stallone will reprise his role as gun-toting John Rambo in the forth coming Rambo IV (2008).

Stallone also provided the voice for Weaver, the soldier ant buddy to Woody Allen�s Z, in the successful animated film Antz (1998).
