I believe that when I was in high school, I had rented this movie. I had already was starting to really love star trek. I don't think i was as obsessed with star trek then as I am now. I don't think I am that obsessed, but obsessed enough. I still love watching the movies, but I have not been simming for a few months now.

The title of this movie is really fitting. This is the very last movie with the TOS characters and the first star trek movie with the TNG characters.  One interesting information about the movie is that Tuvok from Voyager is in the movie.

Captain Kirk and the rest of the TOS crew sit through a test run of the newest Enterprise when they heard a distress call.  They went chasing after that distress call.  There was a hull breach and Kirk was not expected to have survived.

Dr. Soran would not stop at anything to get to the nexus.  He lost his family years ago and he wanted them back.  During the time of TOS, Guinan was there when Soran had tried to get to the nexus then.

The two captains of both eras meet where they end up in the nexus.

Its up to you?  Rent it first and then you shall decide if you like it or not.  I personally like having the whole collection.  This one is a bit slower than some of the others.
