68Star Trek the original series
Star Trek is a science fiction television show that originally aired from 1966 through 1969 and lasted three seasons. Just about everyone is at least familiar with the name but not necessarily its impact. Star Trek was one of the first science fiction shows that put some emphasis on plot and writing though not quite to the extend that later shows with serial story lines.
Though lasting only 3 seasons, Star Trek later went on to have 4 spin off tv shows, 1 animated tv series, and 11 movies.
The following is a list of the first season of the original series. I have watched them countless times during syndication but not until I purchased the DVD set did I realize how many episodes I had missed. Its for that reason that I only include enough information for each episode to identify what the episode is about but without giving away too many spoilers. Its always great for a fan to watch something new and exciting for them and I'd hate to ruin that. I strongly suggest getting the DVD set for the season as then you'll be sure not to miss any episodes.
