LEGO has developed a system of LEGO sets for each of the Star Wars movies that have been released to date. The LEGO Group always does well when creating building block sets based on scenes from the Star Wars films. LEGO does this by taking our favorite characters and vehicles straight out of the film and creating building sets out of them.

The LEGO Star Wars theme is far and away the most sought after theme created by LEGO despite only being 10 years old. This is because there is a very high demand for LEGO Star Wars sets by fans of the films and of LEGO.

LEGO Sets for Episode I

The Star Wars Episode I LEGO system is set in the first prequel film released by LucasFilms. The first movie in this series takes us to the beginnings of Anakin Skywalkers adventures.

One of the fans favorite Star Wars LEGO sets from Episode I is the Mos Espa Podrace. There are not many LEGO sets that come with 10 LEGO minifigs not mention the cool vehicles that are included. Star Wars fans and LEGO brick fans love Mos Espa Podrace which has created a lot of demand for this LEGO System. Coupled with the fact that The Mos Espa Podrace is discontinued and we have ourselves a very pricy LEGO system.

LEGO Sets for Episode II

The second film in the Star Wars Prequels is Episode II: The Attack of the Clones. There are relatively few Star Wars LEGO sets for this series as opposed to the other series for the Star Wars movies but each one of these sets is very much relevant. Many fans believe that the Attack of the Clones series has the best LEGO sets of any other Star Wars series.

One of the harder to find LEGO systems from the Attack of the Clones series is the Hailfire Droid 4481. The Hailfire Droid is a Technic LEGO set and has some amazing features that make it collectible not just to Star Wars LEGO fans but to also Technic LEGO collectors. Although the Hailfire Droid does not contain any LEGO mini figures, it is a very good Star Wars LEGO Set.

LEGO Sets for Episode III

The third movie in the series of Star Wars Prequels is the Revenge of the Sith. There are quite a few LEGO sets that were made for the third movie made for the Star Wars prequels.

The Revenge of the Sith LEGO series has a lot of very good building blocks sets for it. One favorite among Star Wars fans is the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel 7257. This is one of the LEGO Groups more interactive sets created for the Star Wars series of building blocks. This set comes with two LEGO mini figures, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

LEGO Sets for Episode IV

The very first movie made for the Star Wars series was actually simply called Star Wars. A New Hope is the original, the start of one of the biggest most popular movies in history. LEGO went ahead and worked out a contract to create building block sets based on this film.

A New Hope is known for having some very collectible Star Wars LEGO mini figures. These are included in some very fun sets like the Imperial Star Destroyer 6211, The Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon 10179 and the Imperial Dropship 7667. This series is also known for the Millennium Falcon sets. There are a total of three of these!

LEGO Sets for Episode V

Episode V in the Star Wars films is the Empire Strikes Back. It was really the second movie that was produced for the Star Wars films. There are not many sequels that live up to the original film but The Empire Strikes Back does.

The Empire Strikes Back has quite a few LEGO sets that were made for this movie one of which is the original LEGO Slave I LEGO set. There are actually two versions of the Slave I bounty hunter Starship with the 6209 set being the better of the two. There are other sets that are very collectible from the Episode V LEGO Sets like the TIE Bomber and the Cloud City Star Wars LEGO Set. The Snowspeeder is a classic scene from the film as well.

LEGO Sets for Episode VI

The last episode in the series of Star Wars movies is the actually the 3rd movie made in the series by LucasFilms. The Return of the Jedi is a huge film and a classic among fans.

The favorite sets that are made for the Return of the Jedi series of LEGO system are the Jabba the Hutt series of LEGO sets. Jabba the Hutt is one of the most infamous characters from the Star Wars movies and the LEGO Group takes full advantage of this with the sets built around these scenes. Jabba's Prize, Jabba's Palace and Jabba's Message are all great sets that are included in the Return of the Jedi system.

LEGO Clone Wars

The LEGO system built for the Clone Wars movie is the most recent series of LEGO sets for the Star Wars films. LEGO always comes through with new Star Wars themes LEGO systems and the Clone Wars LEGO sets are no exception.

The Clone Wars LEGO series stands apart from the other Star Wars systems made by LEGO because the characters have very much an animated look to them. The reason for this is that the Clone Wars movie is an animated movie. A notable Clone Wars LEGO Set is The Twilight, Anakin Skywalker's personal Starship and as unique a vehicle as there is for the LEGO Star Wars system.

LEGO Star Wars Expanded Sets

There are not very many sets that fall under the Expanded Universe umbrella of Star Wars LEGO Sets. One is the TIE Crawler. This LEGO Set has two Shadow Trooper LEGO mini figures. A must have is the Rogue Shadow because of the Darth Vader and Juno Eclipse mini figures that it comes with.
