The Star wars universe is something that has been very popular for decades now, thanks to the movies, the comcis, the games, the toys and the various animated versions of it, and Lego fans have had plenty to enjoy in the way of Star Wars Lego toys.

Over the years, all of the major shops, characters and scenes have been recreated in Lego form, giving fans young and old the chance to build and enjoy their favourite things from the Star Wars universe. There have been small scale sets and huge dioramas, and the range has offered great Star Wars Lego items for every budget and interest.

So whether it is the original Star Wars trilogy, the prequels, the animated versions such as The Clone Wars, the video games or the huge expanded universe, there is the ideal Star wars Lego for you! Let's check out the sort of Lego Toys that have been made available in the range....

Star Wars Movies Lego Toys

There have been some fantastic Lego toys and play sets available for each of the six Star wars feature films, so whether you are an old-school original trilogy fan or a lover of the modern Star wars prequels, there's some awesome Star wars Lego out there for you to collect and enjoy.

The classic vehicles, including the Millenium Falcon, the X-Wing, the TIE Fighter, and even the Imperial Destroyer, were all recreated as fantastic Lego toys, allowing fans to recreate the thrills and drama of the original trilogy.

Fans of the prequel movies were treated to a huge range of items and play sets relating to those films, including various ships and vehicles (from both sides of the war), dioramas (such as the very popular Genosian arena from Attack of The Clones) and of course, the characters themselves.

Lego Star Wars toys have been a big draw for Star Wars fans ever since the first pieces came onto the market. As with all Lego, once you have made the vehicle (or whatever) in the way it should be assembled, you are then able to add to, change and experiment with the vehicle designs and so on, giving you even more possibilities to enjoy your official Star Wars merchandise and create your own versions of the legendary ships and scenes!

Star Wars Clone Wars Lego Toys

After the prequel trilogy had been completed, along with the animated 'Clone wars' shorts, where next for the Star Wars franchise? The answer came in the shape of the new computer generated Clone Wars TV series.

The series began with a feature length episode that was released at cinemas all over the world.

While the Clone Wars series and the cinema release were both met with something of a lukewarm reception, the official merchandise for Star Wars: The Clone Wars has proved to be a big hit with fans young and old.

The stylized versions of favourite characters, ships and locations, coupled with some great new characters such as Ahsoka, have been very popular indeed.

A major part of the Clone Wars merchandise available has been the Clone Wars Lego toys and play sets. The Lego manufacturers have really done a great job bringing the stylized vision of the Star Wars universe to the Lego toy market, and collectors have been having a blast with the new versions of favourite ships and scenes. Clone wars lego is proving to be one of the best ranges of Star wars Lego yet!

Star Wars Lego Video Games

There has also been a pair of hit video games released based on the Star wars Lego toys range. How cool is that?! One of these hit video games covered the prequels, and its sequel covered the original trilogy. There is also a version called 'The Complete Saga', which covers all six episodes in the Star Wars movie series.

The translation of the Lego Star wars designs to the video games platform has been a huge hit with both fans of Star Wars and the video games scene in general. All of the iconic scenes and characters are present, including the now-legendary lightsaber duel against Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The Lego Star Wars video games are amongst the best Star Wars games ever released, and certainly the most fun!
