While Starbucks' heyday seems to have faded into the past millions of customers choose to drink their specialty drinks. As a former employee of over two years I have a unique perspective that I hope will prove useful to you. I'll describe the drinks and, hopefully, help you choose which Starbucks drink is right for you. There are so many to choose from!

The season has a big deal to do with what drinks people drink. For instance, in winter people usually order the hot drinks to warm them up. In summer people order the Frappucino or iced versions of the hot drinks to cool them down. Of course you sometimes have the brave soul who orders a Frappucino in the dead winter because, "It's not that cold outside."

In my Starbucks experience the typical Latte drinker was the person who wanted a quick drink that was strong and easy to make. Those drinkers came in the morning on their way to work and needed a quick pick me up. Tasting more like coffee, without the sweet flavor, it was perfect for a burst of caffeine in the morning. It seems that's what it was created for as it's only espresso and milk with a dollop of foam on top. Each size has a different proption though (1 shot for Tall and 2 for both Grande and Venti.) This drink is perfect if you're on the go and want a quick pick-me-up.

The Starbucks Cappucino was a drink for a different purpose. Those drinkers were a different breed. With plenty of time people who liked the Latte had no problem ordering this drink, sitting down, and enjoying the taste. Slightly more "foamy" than the Latte the drink is a blend rather than a layer. The Latte is layered with foam on top. The Cappucino is mixed all together with more foam than the Latte. So it has a lighter taste than the Latte. Drink is perfect if you like the Latte but have more time!

The Starbucks Caramel Macchiato is my personal favorite. This drink is PERFECT if you have time and love the sweet taste of vanilla and caramel mixed with the coffe. Layered like the Latte it has foam on top with a criss-cross pattern of caramel. underneath the foam is a mix of espresso, milk, and vanilla syrup. Iced or hot this drink is perfect for any season. It won't let you down.

These are the 3 main drinks Starbucks serves, excepting the frozen drinks. I personally enjoyed making the Caramel Macchiato. It was fun to create something I enjoyed drinking myself. Though I have reviewed these 3 drinks there's nothing that says you have to enjoy only these three. Starbucks gives you the ability to mix and match until you've foud the drink that makes your trip worth it!
