Brain Power
The hardest part of running is to start running, we all have the tendency to procrastinate to a better day and we know that day might not come, so how do we start this routine that we have set our mind to but our body is not able to follow.
Believe it or not, the brain is the only muscle power you ever need, it can achieve more than you can imagine, if only you know how to make use of it. It is not to be executed like Professor Xavier or Magneto, but rather power to will determination and endurance. Take for example, Dorando Pietri, a participant of 1908 olympic marathon, he was so exhasuted at the last 400 meters that he collapsed again and again, but completed the event anyway, a newspaper quoted he was repeating a mantra "I will win or I will die", though he did not win, but he proved us a point that the brain is so powerful that one can overcome the weakness of the body.
Human is easily forgetful, especially things that one do not wish to do or remember, the only way to hammer the idea into the head is to keep reminding and keep thinking of the consequences that might affect you greatly. Repeatedly thinking it until you become irritated, actions will soon follow (My Mom has been using this technique to irritate me and it always worked). Simply repeating "I will start running or I will not fit into my wedding dress" or "I will start running or I will not win John in the coming marathon", something practical to inspire or get you motivated will be good enough.
Just yesterday, Robin Soderling seeded 23rd in the French Open, smashed the world number 1 hope of getting 5 times French Open Grand Slam, he quoted “I try to keep telling myself before the match that, I have to believe”.
Trust me, if you face an opponent that is as huge as a mountain, even with years of training, It is not easy to believe you can overcome it. Right now this huge obstacle is just yourself, you do not need any special skill, or perfect weather, or the best route to start running, just slip into your running shoes, grab hold of the door knob and turn, and out you go.

I am not an expert in running or neurology, but I believe that people out there might face the same problem, difficult and unwilling to start running although there are many good reasons to.
