Start to Praise God No Matter What
69I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. Psalms 9:1
This was a very significant verse for a young christian when she received the news that both her mother and grandmother were admitted into the hospital. The doctors had discovered that her mother had cancer and her grandmother was admitted for old age problems. How should she, as the only Christian in the family , pray?
That night, she went before the Lord in prayer. She began flipping through the pages of Psalms. Many of the Psalms that flipped through spoke of pain and the frustration of the psalmist. But, somehow, those psalms did not strike a chord in her heart.
Finally, she chanced upon Psalm 9:1 - "I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders." Her heart leapt for joy, for she sensed that God was speaking to her. She began to praise the Lord with all her heart for everything that was happening. And though it did not seem to make logical sense to praise God in such a situation, it made sense in the spirit. As she praised God, God's presence filled the room and filled her with a sense of peace that He was in control.
Thats what praise does - it help us to see that God is in control regardless of life's situations. It also gives God room to move in our lives as we praise Him. But thats was not the end of the story, she also took the second part of the verse very seriously - " I will tell of all Your wonders." Eventually, her grandma and mother both received Christ as their Lord and Savior. So why not start praising God No Matter What!

Thanks stevemark122000 for your comments and encouragement.
Its easy to say to another - "Praise Him". But it takes a lot if you are the person in the situation.
Very good. Trust is the root of Praise. If I trust Him in all situations I can praise Him in all situations.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. NKJV
Thank you. ~ eddie
HI Eddie,
Roman 8:28 is indeed the key to praising God! Knowing the sovereignty of the Almighty is definitely important.
We tend to forget that we should praise even in the hard times. Only as we grow and mature does it become a part of our nature to do that even then.
Very good words.
Yes, dear ones, How true that if praise be the power of heaven, then why not - let heaven come down and fill your soul with the word of God. Yes, all thigs don't look good, all things don't feel good, all things don't sound good, that's because its still in the working. You need to God will come to your resue, just because he loves you - so hang it there. - 0724469727
