It's So Hot In Summer!

When summer comes, more sun light comes and hits the ground. As the impact, the weather and air surround us get hotter and these condition make us sweat even more.

With hot weather and plenty of sweat produced, it is very normal that human's body becomes slightly weaker. This, in turn, creates long and lazy summer sensation.

For kids, this condition gives greater impact. Not only they can easily get skin irritation (due to harsh sun light) and dehydration because of many sweat production, the long days of summer can hurl away their excitements, unless parents or grownup relatives find a way out to deal with the intense summer heat.

Summer Dress Codes

Since the weather becomes hotter in summer, parents should pay more attention in finding and giving the right clothing for kids. Some dress codes that should exist in summer dresses are:

- Pick up clothes made from cotton in order to cope with excessive sweating and heat. Clothes made from cotton get dry easily, so kids will not get wet because of sweating a lot.

- Pick up clothes which are light weighted, because they also dry quickly and soothing to the kids' skin.

- Pick up clothes with bright colors, because they help reflecting the sun lights thus preventing the kids’ body from absorbing heat.

Play With Water

Playing with water in or outside the house can be a great solution for kids to get over heat problems.

Little kids (toddlers) can play in-house water pool or fish pod toys. Otherwise, they can join their parents and older siblings playing and swimming in the backyard pool.

For families who are on the budget for building a permanent swimming pool, they can use inflatable pool. This kind of pool is very practical because you can use it whenever you need it and keep it inside the drawer when it is not needed.

Besides swimming in your own backyard, you can also get your kids to swim in public swimming pool. Just don't forget to make sure that the public pool has all the standardized safety procedures.

Water sprinkler and water tap can also add some fun for kids in the middle of day. Kids can make use the sprinkler and tap for watering the flowers in garden while getting them selves a bit shower.

Cool Food And Drink

Whenever possible, avoid giving kids food with too many spices, because they can increase calorie burning in the kids’ bodies and add more heat.

Drink plenty of water, especially in the midday to prevent from getting dehydration. You can also eat fruits that contain many water, or mix them with syrup and ice to make fruit punch.
