Art is everywhere. You just have to look for it; and in this day and age, you don't have to look very far. Simply go to www.Google.com and search the word "art" and you will have an endless sea of links to choose from. One can easily be overwhelmed with the results and simply give up on art all together. The fact of the matter is you've got to know what you're looking for. However, the best kind of art is the kind of art you never saw coming. It leaves you in awe, it inspires, and it continues to grow daily. I happened to come across one such site while browsing the world-wide-web. It's known as

Just as the name implies, Stefan creates a monster for our viewing pleasure every day. None of it is pre-planned; all of it is done on the spot out of his imagination. After watching Stefan breathe life into several monsters, it inspired me to take a swing in the art industry. Sadly, I struck out. However, that doesn't mean that my efforts were wasted. I created a few drawings that I'm proud of and the inspiration I got from watching Stefan's creativity caused me to gain some perspective on my life. I realized that even though I enjoyed drawing, it simply wasn't for me. My real passion comes to me in the form of words. Here are a few of my favorite monsters from Stefan G Butcher's website, Daily Monster.

After a hard day's work, Melvin senior comes home to his enthusiastic son who is determined to get his pops to have a staring contest with him. Melvin will not be persuaded by Melvin Jr. He simply will not. Melvin junior: 1, Melvin senior:0.

Willard is ecstatic to be alive and is often seen giving strangers thumbs up as well as high fives. He has just found out that he will soon be a father and is off to inform his wife, Wanda. You see, Willard is much like the male seahorse in that he, not Wanda, gives birth to their offspring.

What makes Stefan's site unique compared to other sites is that he allows you to interact with his work. After every monster he draws, he gives everybody an opportunity to create a story that goes with the monster. I've wrote a few stories for his monsters which is what caused my interest in writing to reignite and that is why I am writing this hub. The little excerpts you see under each of the video's is simply my take on the monster Stefan drew. What story do you have in your head? Stefan and I would love to know. Stefan also created a book titled, 100 Days Of Monsters. It is now available in stores, so pick yours up today.

Sorry my prev comment was meant for another hub, not sure how it ended up here... I like the idea of a daily monster too, I am terrible at drawing, it is one thing I always wanted to be good at but wasnt...

Stefan's creations always make me grin--I got the book, and he talks about the drawings as being something for the writing to crystallize around. Would that all of our monsters were objects of friendly community; but it's wonderful, meanwhile, to have Stefan's. :)
