Still Search for the Perfect Fit of Jeans
59Weight issues when shopping for clothes
Come on people.......
All I want to do is to buy a pair of jeans. If I was a slim 34 inch waist and still eating drive thru meals like I could back when I was uuummm say 24, I would have no problem.
Do the designers really not want someone that can actually afford to buy a pair of nice looking, top branded jeans over the size of 40?
I've tried Lucky Brand Jeans....... NOPE- KID ALMOST LAUGHED
Tried the old favorite - The Gap........ NO WAY...... GOTTA SHOP ONLINE
Even went to Big Box Retailer - Dillards....Big & Tall eeeerrr Fat and Skinny
After taking on the task of finding the solution for us Big Men, it was mentioned to me to try the Original of all Jeans......... LEVI'S OUTLETS.
I walked into that place with a feeling of confidence and swagger.
Looking around at all the different styles of jeans: 501's, Relaxed, Boot, Straight and Skinny. WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!
They actually have a Style of SKINNY JEANS. THIS IS JUST WRONG.
MEAN. CRUEL. SLAP IN THE FACE. NOT RIGHT.
DAMN, I'm hungry just fuming about it.
The young kid working actually told me that they don't carry anything bigger than a 42 instore, but he would check online at the dot com while I was looking around.
What was I going to look at? The happy customers buying jeans and actually feeling good about their buying choices. Wonderful.
Good for them. What about my needs. I have CASH. Doesn't cash count.
As I watch the young guy navigate the register and appear to be looking at the dot com and showing the other young person behind the counter what ever must have been an awful funny joke. They were busting at the seams. Only to be told that "NOT EVEN ON THE WEBSITE SIR, DO WE GO ABOVE 38".
But he was so nice with the next statement: "Can I get you anything else today?" "Sure, I'll take this shirt I guess."
Will someone please step up to the plate and verify that this is not just a bad dream and I am not the only one going thru this ordeal.
MEN OR LADIES?
Is anyone out there having a hard time finding great looking clothes just because you have gained a little weight or embarrassed to go shopping because of your weight?
Till next time.
Still Shopping.

Yup, trying to buy my husband a pair of Lucky Jeans in size 42 and it is impossible to find them. His favorite pair of jeans are Lucky Brand Trucker Straight Leg jeans that are about 3 years old and totally worn out. All I want to do is get the exact same pair of jeans, but aparently, they don't make them in his size anymore. Too bad, because his butt looks great it them!
