Still beautiful when she grows old

So many stars that we are familiar with grow old in the twinkling of our eyes. They lack no money to do facial or body treatment to keep young, they can eat and drink exquisite things to slow the aging process, still they’re getting older and older. And the case is worse with our commoners.

I looked through a pile of my old photos this afternoon, thus saw myself grown up all the way from a little chubby girl to a young lady, though I feel intensely that youth is saying goodbye to me these days.  Wrinkles lurking around forehead, large pores, acne and spot on around nose, skin not watery any more, eyes not limpid any more….

Youth slipped away faster than I’d supposed it should be, I dare not look back to my earlier years now. My youth’s fleeing from me really bums me out, I thought there’s still a long way to go with her, I even thought I was gonna to be forever young. How stupid I was!

Youth embodies herself on young boys and girls. They have black shining hairs and limpid eyes, as beautiful as flowers ,as sparkling as morning dew, They walk with light footsteps and grace figures, full of vigor, full of vitalilty. At the same time of apprecitating and admiring, I feel lost and moony. Youth will be separated from me in no time, yet I can’t figure out any way to keep her longer. I already have the picture in my mind that she takes her leave while I gaze at her receding figure till it’s totally disappeared. Couldn’t she be a little bit merciful but not so cold pitiless. I have to surrender in the end, for every human beings should comply to the order of nature. Time have a knife in its hand to engrave wrinkles on our faces, thus takes away our young lookings. When someday we look into mirrors, we wonder why the time engraves so hard that we deny these portraits are ourselves. However, there’s still fantasy, there’s still impulse, I’ll still have enthusiasm to climb a mountain when at the foot of it and to swim in a sea when at the edge of it.
