Investor Jim,
What is stock market trading software and what does it do?
Will

Will,
Stock market trading is the way people trade company stocks and derivatives. Stocks are financial instruments that indicate that the person that owns a share of stock of a company have partial ownership of that company. Having partial ownership entitles one to receive dividends or shares of profit made by the company. Some stocks even give its owner the power to vote on corporate policies and the composition of its board of directors.

Stock traders trade stocks in the market to make a profit by taking advantage of the volatility of the prices of stock. The fluctuation the stock prices experience is due to the demand of the stock. The higher the demand, the higher will be its price. Stock traders don’t usually hold on to stocks they buy for very long and don’t care much about the dividends or voting powers that a stock may provide. Stock investors however are the opposite. Stock investors buy stocks and hold on to it for some time. They recognize the partial ownership of the company that the stocks signify and the benefits that come along with it.

Stock traders and investors though cannot directly trade in the stock exchange. Stock exchanges only allow licensed individuals like brokers to trade stocks on the trading floor. So, in order for one to buy and sell stocks, one must hire the services of a broker. Stock brokers are an investor or trader’s representative in the stock exchange. Traders can use them to execute trades, give advice, and even give them the power to make decisions and execute them.

Stock market trading software is a trading platform that is used by stock traders to help them make trade decisions by providing data, charts, and complex data interpretation. Stock market trading is hard to do especially for someone who is just starting out in the business. Using a stock market trading software can help you making informed and smart trade decisions and allows you to gather information that will help you make the right trade decision. The complex analysis of data and charting that stock trading softwares can do will save you time and effort and can even maximize your profit for making trade decisions right away. This is because waiting too long can make you miss out on the right time to execute a trade.

Using a stock market trading software can allow you to free up some time for yourself and do other things while being constantly updated on current and future possible trades. It can also free one up from having to constantly contact one’s broker. The trading software itself is directly connected to a brokerage and they execute the trades for you but without sticking to just one broker. The software can even execute trades with the help of different brokerage companies while using only one interface. One just has to make sure that the software one will use will provide up-to-date data and execute trades in real-time. This is because delays can be costly in this business.

There are tons of good stock trading programs out there that people can try and I think they will be very happy. If I was going to go out and pick a stock trading program today then I don't know where I would start to be truthful. I guess google is always a good choice.

  • Investment Thesis on TSR Inc (TSRI)Guru Focus4 hours ago

By Greenbackd. TSR Inc (NASDAQ:TSRI) is an interesting play at a discount to liquidation value and an ongoing cash flow positive business. At its $2.10 close yesterday, the stock has a market capitalization of $8.5M. I estimate the liquidation value to be around 26% higher at $2.65. 26% is not a huge upside, but in this instance I would not regard liquidation value as the upside. Rather, here it ...
