Learn how to rank well in the search engines

WOW! I just learned that this will be FREE!

As someone who's been using the principles found in Stomping the Search Engines 2 for a while, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my experience with what I learned from it.

First of all, I'd like to say that while PPC should be your first step in optimizing your pages (by testing to see which key phrases are profitable before you spend weeks optimizing for a keyword or phrase that doesn't convert to sales), SEO is your best long term strategy.

Don't worry about google slapping you if you are not trying to manipulate the system. And odn't rush into trying to do too much too soon: slow ans steady wins the race.

What you'll Learn from Stomping the Search Engines 2

Fist of all, you'll learn how to plan for your natural growth through the search engines. You'll learn pros and cons of free traffic, you'll learn how to deal with SEO succes, you'll even learn some conversion tactics to make your site more meaningful to your visitors.

You'll learn about PPC: how to start a campaign the right way, how to use what you learn from your PPC campaigns to grow your free traffic, how to dominate both sides of google results.

You'll learn about the importance of unique content and how to create it; you'll also learn about your robots.txt file: why it's important to have one, and what it should contain.

And much more...

SEO Pros

By optimizing your site for the right key phrases, you'll catch the customers in the act of searching. Here is where optomizing for long tail keyphrases (buying keywords) come in: these are not only easy to optimize for, but also give you the best possible prospects.

When someone finds you through the search engines, you are not interrupting the: they were actually looking for waht you have to offer. Of course, your site's appearance will play a major role in this case: make sure you tweak your pages for best conversions.

SEO will give you a massive return on investment (ROI): you'll need to put some serious work into it in the begining, but after you get going, it's easily maintained and increased.

Ranking well in the seach engines will give you repeated exposure, and your busienss can explode from doing the right optimization.

SEO CONs

Of course, you need to know about the cons of SEO in order to avoid thm as much as possible.

SEO can be unpredictable because of seasonal variations, normal up/down fluctuations in the SERPs, early results may not stick, etc.

You may become lazy, or comfortable once you achieved your desired initial posititon, but your ranking can go away instantly (many times just temporarily), and when in panick, most people make the worst mistakes (trying spam and deception tactics, or creating low value sites/pages)
